I even pointed directly at the item on the menu to avoid any confusion. Despite this, I was given the wrong dish — one that contained dairy. After taking a bite, I immediately went back to ask what I had been served, and only then was I told it was not the vegan item. This is not just a simple mistake — it’s a serious safety concern. Food allergies are not something to take lightly, and unfortunately, the person taking and preparing orders here did not seem to take my request seriously or listen carefully. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone with dietary restrictions or food allergies, as I do not believe the staff can be trusted to handle them properly.

We love their food - both savory and sweet waffle sandwiches. They do get soggy VERY quickly so you need to eat pretty quickly and I wouldn’t recommend take away if it’s not being eating soon

Whether you get something sweet or savory, every waffle made here is fresh and there are options for any time of the day. I got the Whip It and there was no shortage of sweetness, with the waffle being packed with whipped cream and powdered sugar. Briar was very kind, and the service that I received was fast and I was even given a sample of their house made Bavarian Cream. If you're looking for a good place for tasty waffles at a good price, I highly recommend Smaaken Waffle Sandwiches!
