But I have noticed in the last couple months the store atmosphere seems very off. The employees look drained. Then as I was shopping Tuesday I walked past 2 employees and the male talking to the female was talking to her very condescendingly it was disturbing to hear. She look like life had drained her. I don’t blame her if I had employees talking to me like that every day. I went up to the self check out asked the self check out guy who the man was. He stated that was the new store manager and that’s how he always talks to the employees. I feel awful for them. No wonder the moral of the store has been shot. It use to be so inviting energetic, the employees were so happy when the blonde gal was in charge. Now everyone looks miserable and like the life has been drained from them. Shame on the company for allowing someone like that to be in charge of people. If I ever see or hear him talking to employees like their animals again I will go above writing a google review and go directly to corporate to complain. Amazing employees, HORRIBLE head store management.

I was trying to confirm what she was saying and what I would need to do to get my medication filled on time. It was not a long phone call and it wouldn’t have taken much longer but she got snappy at me and hung up because “two customers were waiting”. Edit: Changing from 2 to 3 stars because it was sorted out shortly after posting this review.
- AKAna KalmanekNov 5, 20251.0I have been a loyal customer for years at the Safeway on Murray and Allen. The customer service there has gone downhill the last few years. Lately the new cashiers lack training in bagging groceries. They throw groceries in a bag, like putting cans on top of bread. The customer then has to rebag their groceries before driving home. Also some employees don’t want to be bothered to help when you ask for assistance. They act like they are bothered. In all honesty, this behavior is coming from NEW employees. Those who have been working there several years know how to treat customers. The NEWBIES should learn from those who have been there awhile. As for me, I’m considering grocery shopping at another store.
