However, the experience at the meat counter was frustrating enough to merit mention. I waited at the counter for about eight minutes while a line formed. Several customers eventually gave up and walked away. I called the store to ask for assistance at the counter and nobody picked up for over three and a half minutes. When someone finally arrived, the only explanation offered was that they were busy, and that was the end of the interaction. I understand that staffing can be tight and that employees juggle multiple demands. Still, a long unattended wait followed by a dismissive response does not reflect well on customer service, especially in a department that relies on direct assistance. I will likely continue to shop here because the store overall meets my needs, but I hope management takes a closer look at counter coverage and response times. A small adjustment there would make a noticeable difference in the customer experience.

It seems all these big stores like Safeway, Albertsons, Kroger, etc. are severely understaffing their stores and expecting the customer to do more and more. Their prices are horrible! There's no customer service! Their self-checkout machines don't work properly! It's just a terrible all-around experience and I won't be back!
