  I’ve been buying my husband DQ cakes, for his birthday, for 20 years now and I have to say the Whitby DQ is the worst. We moved to Whitby 3 years ago. The first year, they spelt his name wrong, last year they made the wrong flavour, and now this year - no message. Birthdays can be so stressful. I don’t need added stress and what is the worst part for me, the staff do not care - each time they just shrug or stare when I say something is wrong. It is only when I’m walking out of the store they offer to fix it and never an apology. I don’t get it and will not be back.

  I wish I was exaggerating when I say 80% of the times I've ordered food from this location, they get the order wrong. But I'm not, and have now had 4 out of 5 of my last 5 attempts at ordering from here either completely forget items, or give entirely different ones. And then when I do get the items, the quality is subpar. The best thing there is the ice cream, since that's something they can't make wrong (until they give you the wrong one). But when they don't give the wrong one, it's usually oferflowed with the entirety of a spoon jammed into it making the spoon unusable without a sink. The location should have a supervisor attached to each employee, but with the problems being this systemic I seriously doubt the supervisors are doing much anyway. My advice is to order only one item, and pray that they don't give you somebody else's order instead.... Which they routinely do. If you like gambling, order food from here.

  I would not recommend this Dairy Queen location! Yesterday my brother and I went to go and try the new eggnog holiday blizzards! When we received our drinks we noticed that it tasted just like a normal vanilla milkshake and went to speak to the employee. The employee argued with us that we ordered vanilla milkshakes because there was no way she would mistake it for the eggnog shake…both my brother and I restated that we ordered the eggnog shake and repeated it twice before paying for our order to make sure she knew. She continued to argue with us that she wouldn’t make mistakes and that if we wanted the eggnog milkshakes we would have to be charged again for two new shakes. When my brother was tired of the interaction (realized she was not understanding at all) she offered to just add eggnog syrup to our vanilla shakes. We agreed to this, however when she went to add the syrup she began to gossip with her coworker about us. This is absolutely terrible customer service and just pain rude and disrespectful. We will not be returning to this location!!!

  This place is terrible. The people are extremely rude. I ordered 2 cookie dough blizzards and asked for extra chocolate fudge. The woman said it already comes with fudge and will be chocolatey. I saw the ice creams that were literally vanilla ice cream so I asked her where the chocolate is she said it’s in there and if you want more we will have to charge you extra. I asked her why she didn’t charge me extra there and then and she got extremely rude with me and started gossiping and giggling with her co workers. I called the location about 20 times no response so I called from another phone and got a response straight away. She started getting all rude and worked up with me and refused to give me a refund. I will never be coming here again!
