  My Dad and I went in to Pickle Barrel the other day, anticipating their amazing onion rings. We were SO disappointed to find out that they had taken this off the menu. WHAT?? They were the best in town, with a great price point! Anyways, we ordered our drinks and were still trying to process this when Pamela, an absolutely lovely server, surprised us with Chef Kalum's homemade onion rings! He heard us talking, and made an absolutely beautiful fresh batch for us! Thanks Kalum, Pamela and the other staff that were there to hear our initial misery over the onion rings and then our complete joy when they arrived hot to our table. This place is great, lovely people, but, head office, you need to hear this: BRING BACK THE ONION RINGS!!! And apparently we are not the only ones that feel this way!

  We were treated wonderfully by Madison. Always smiling, ready to fill up drinks and the food was fast and delicious. In a world where customer service is slipping, it’s nice to have a server like Madison treat you so well! Thank you so much!!

  food and service was great.. food came out prompt and fast.. would definitely come back and refer to my friend. Andrew was the person that served me.. He was fantastic. I also found out he was a manager. I was really impressed with everyone eagerness to serve

  Ryan is a fantastic server. Knows his stuff, really great energy and just all around improved our evening. Always love coming to Pickle Barrel for dinner; they never rush and the food is always on point. Ryan even made the point of asking for alergies; which is always a nice little extra.

  Our servers name was Colin and he was FANTASTIC ! Very kind and courteous as well as efficient and attentive. Checked on our table multiple times throughout our visit and everything was brought to us very quickly between courses. He was very professional and well mannered and took great care of us during our dining experience. It was fairly busy when we attended (dinner service on a Saturday which also happened to be Valentines day) we made a reservation in advance for 5pm but probably wouldn't have been necessary but by 6pm it was a full house. The staff did not faulter, even the bar tender offered us top notch service when we gave up our table to sit at the bar so another group could have our table for their dining experience. Atmosphere is great, calm and dimly lit, lots of tables and music was up to date and fun. They have tvs with sports set up in the bar area so they have a nice dining area and a separate pub area to please all crowds. The service as mentioned was top notch and excellent and probably the best service I have received at any restaurant. The food was good too. We started with apps and drinks all of which were delectable. (10/10 recommend the calamari and fried pickles). The main courses were also quite nice except the fish and chips, in my opinion I would not order this here, it was greasy and resembled that of a frozen/boxed style fish. The fiesta bowl was divine, rice was a little under done in my opinion but some people may prefer it that way. The lobster shrimp linguine was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and I would definitely order it again. We had 4 drinks, 2 apps, and 3 main courses and it cost us $150.00 so I would say that is very reasonable for the amount of food we received. We left happy with full bellies and even some leftovers for tomorrow. All in all it was a lovely experience and I can see us returning in the future.
