SCAM ALERT! Always check your receipt.
I just came in to grab a footlong sub and as the woman working was making up my sandwich, she told me word for word “I’m going to give you 2 extra slices of cheese on your sub”. I said “oh thank you.”, not even thinking about anything else. She did not ask me if I wanted it, she told me she was adding it from her own accord.
She asked about my day, the weather, and went to check me out. I thought the total was higher than normal but paid anyways. Come to find on my receipt that she charged me for extra cheese lol.
This is not how you upsell your customers. This is blatant stealing. You ask about extra cheese, you don’t give it out with telling about the upcharge price. And then charge them for it unknowing. I had to request for my receipt as well, as she did not give it after I paid. If they try this with you, tell them to take the cheese off. Awkward confrontation.
Meat also tastes a bit off. I ordered a cold cut and the meat has the look of being left out too long. Ham tastes off.
