We were craving pasta for dinner so my husband and I decided to try out Easy side Mario’s. The menu has an extensive selection of pasta, and unlimited soup and salad which is unheard of. The price is also very reasonable. We had the best server Derek, we loved his personality, he was great at listening and had great recommendations. We will definitely be back with our family’s

Had dinner today and I have to say my hostess was amazing. Her name was Betsy and she was on point the entire night. Never had to ask for anything. When my drink was low she was on it. When my plate was done, she took it. Made for a perfect night. Thanks Betsy...I'll Definitely be back.

Smaller than other restaurants but overall good one. We had Niusha as a server and she was great! Attentive, efficient and polite. The manager even asked us if the food was good and if we needed anything. Happy to have had a great server because my experience was tainted by a party next to our table that had a few members arguing over something (that we clearly could hear everything being sad) and being loud and obnoxious.

The dish ware was frankly disgusting, grubby prints and food still on the supposedly fresh plates. Service was terrible, nice to your face but took forever to ask for our orders, refill drinks, and they never took dirty plates. To top it off I am sitting here an hour after placing my order with no food in front of me. This is embarrassing and quite frankly ridiculous for a well known chain with high ratings. Will never be dining here again.

I’ve been wanting to try East Side Mario’s for a long time, and I finally did last weekend. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was absolutely packed and very loud. I don’t think there was a single empty chair in the entire restaurant.
The food was very hit-or-miss—there was no middle ground. We did order the following:
Garlic Homeloaf: 5/5 – Hands down the best part of the meal. No complaints whatsoever.
Garden Salad – I didn’t try it, so I can’t really rate it.
Roasted Garlic Tomato Soup: 2/5 – Definitely not for me. I’m not sure why it’s called “roasted garlic” tomato soup; I didn’t get any roasted garlic flavor at all.
Italian Wedding Soup: 4/5 – Quite good and enjoyable.
Balsamic Pesto Pizza: 3.5/5 – The balsamic glaze was a bit too sweet for my taste. We substituted the pesto for regular pizza sauce and the caramelized onions for raw red onions, so I can’t fully judge the original version. That being said, I don’t like pesto, so it wouldn’t have worked for me anyway.
Chicken & Shrimp Scampi: 1/5 – Just… ew. They definitely need to revisit this recipe.
Roasted Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken: 2/5 – Very bland. There was barely any sauce, and what was there tasted pretty much flavorless. It felt like jarred sauce—and not the good kind. I’m also not convinced they use fresh garlic; you could slightly smell it, but there was no real roasted garlic flavor at all.
Mini Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake: 3.5/5 – Not bad, but it felt much smaller than it appeared in the photo.
Violet Iced Tea Lemonade: 4/5 – Good, but quite sweet. If you don’t like overly sweet drinks, this probably isn’t for you.
The service was good and relatively fast. Our server did mix up some of our soups and salad, but she corrected it very quickly. Given how loud and busy the restaurant was, that may have contributed to the mix-up.
The total came to $92, which wasn’t unreasonable considering the amount of food. It’s nice that meals come with a complimentary soup, salad, or garlic homeloaf. However, some dishes—especially the Chicken & Shrimp Scampi and the Roasted Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken—felt overpriced for the quality and flavor (or lack thereof).
Overall, the restaurant was louder than I had hoped, even though we arrived around 3:30 p.m., after the lunch special was over. It did quiet down fairly quickly, though. If I go back, I’d probably visit later in the afternoon and stick mostly to the pizza and dessert.
