- AKAdam KMar 26, 20263.0I’ve been to dbar more times than I can count but something has changed recently. I ordered a steak for lunch - it was mediocre and I left around half of it. The General Manager offered a dessert when I mentioned it, which I appreciated. But I was surprised when the bill came and the steak was still on it. I didn’t make an issue of it, and I understand this is standard in many restaurants. But after so many visits, it felt a bit transactional and cheap. It chipped away at the “taken care of” feeling that used to define this spot for me.

The steak tartare was diabolical I must admit. If you enjoy astringent mustard and horseradish, this may be the tartare for you. For my palate these flavour completely overtook the tartare, could not enjoy it for the life of me. Service is always a great time here.

Food was wonderful and exquisitely presented, an outstanding service by Fotis, who had the patience to wait for the late arrival of my guest, a student who was coming from the campus. The chicken liver mousse and tuna tartare: a delice for the eyes and then the stomach! Thank you!
