For my main course, I decided to order the whole duck, and it was incredible. The duck was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—with rich, savory flavors that made every bite memorable. The sides and accompaniments complemented it beautifully, balancing the richness with fresh and seasonal flavors. Beyond the food, the service was excellent—attentive and knowledgeable without ever feeling intrusive. The presentation of each dish, especially the duck, made the meal feel even more special. Overall, it was a truly indulgent dining experience, and ordering the whole duck was definitely worth it. I would happily return for another exceptional meal at Café Boulud.

My biggest and only qualm was with the absolutely atrocious service which started as soon as I arrived. There was no host/hostess at the front so I had no idea which table I was going to so I walked around the restaurant looking for my party. Once I sat down I was greeted and asked if I wanted something to drink and this was the only service I received throughout the entire meal. I had to flag someone down for a refill to my coffee every time. We also had to flag someone down for the bill. To clarify, I did wait several minutes before I flagged a server for assistance because it became blatantly clear service has to be requested. I probably wouldn't return.
