  I went for lunch at the Shops at Don Mills location where I have visited 3 times prior. I've been more than satisfied with the food on those visits; however, today, one prime menu item missed the mark terribly and unfortunately made me sick and my mother unable to finish her meal. The culprit was the guacamole that was included both on the salsa sampler and the speedy Gonzalez lunch special. It looked okay on the plate but once we took a scoop of it in our mouths, we noticed a very fermented taste and mouthfeel (like carbonated soda). We asked our server if she could replace the guacamole from the sampler (as that was the first item that arrived on our table) and she came back with a fresh guacamole that looked dramatically different from the earlier one and tasted just fine. We were disappointed though to see that our taco lunch special came with the same batch of guacamole that was originally on the sampler. We alerted the server and showed her how different the guacamoles looked. She acknowledged that the replacement guacamole on the sampler was made fresh, but didn't offer to replace the ones from the lunch special. We therefore, didn't touch the guacamole anymore. We were able to take a few bites of our tacos (which were good but not as good as previous visits) but because both of our stomachs were starting to react to what we openly characterized to the server as the "day-old" guacamole originally served to us, we couldn't finish our meal. I'm going to assume this is a one-off bad experience and that the next time will be a lot better.

  Celebrated my birthday here and had a great experience 🥰 from when we walked in we were greeted and sat right away and our waiter was extremely inviting, mentioned he knew we were celebrating a special occasion and offered me a shot of tequila. - I forgot his name but he was bubbly and friendly the entire night. We had the mixed dip platter for a shared starter for 5 people and it was a the perfect amount. They also offered extra nachos when we needed qnd tacos for mains. We tried the Pollo, the beef, fish and shrimp tacos in orders of 6 and 3 for the shrimp. The best ones were the fish and shrimp and the shrimp was big portions. The beef had a bit too much liquid. We also had the lemon tres Leche and it was one of the top tres leches I ever had. Probably tied for 1st place! Must try spot in a great location.

  Another review I almost forgot to write! I had dinner with my co-workers here after work and I think it’s a great spot to hang out. They seated us in the covered patio and it was a nice vibe. There was also a heater on the ceiling, so you definitely won’t feel cold during the winter season. Our server was amazing! He was very personable, hilarious, and kept checking in on us. (I wish I remembered his name.) I got the Pollo Milanesa and it was good overall; just a little bit on the saltier side. It was filling though. I’ll try the tacos the next time I’m here.

  Anejo on a Wednesday night was a fantastic choice for a cozy late night birthday celebration! The restaurant's ambiance set a perfect tone for a lively gathering. With a group of six, we were well taken care of by our server, Michael, who was incredibly attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The drinks were a highlight, with a selection of shots and delicious mango mixed drinks that were all fantastic. We started with coconut shrimp and plenty of guacamole on the side. We also tried the mushroom tacos, which were a standout dish. Despite the restaurant being quite busy for a Wednesday night, the service remained impeccable, and the atmosphere was vibrant. Overall, Anejo provided a wonderful dining experience. The combination of great food, excellent drinks, attentive service from Michael, and a clean environment made for a memorable birthday celebration. I also received a birthday desert that was very delicious. I give Anejo a five-star review and highly recommend it.

  Finally got a chance to try out Anejo for the first time. We went on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm which wasn’t as busy yet. When we entered we waited a bit as there was no hostess at the front. A server let us know that he called someone over to help us. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was also very nice. We ordered the Coconut shrimp, tableside guacamole and 6 tacos. The coconut shrimp was good a bit bland, but the accompanying sauce was really good. The tableside guacamole was our favourite! We ordered 3 fish tacos and 3 pork carnita tacos and both were good, a little bland. Unfortunately, the pork taco was very oily which ruined the bite. However the drinks are AMAZING! if you love a spicy margarita you have to try the “Chili Coconut Margarita” so delicious. Overall we had a good meal here and would try it again!
