I had an incredibly frustrating and upsetting experience at Dairy Queen. Especially with the OWNER. Disgusting and disappointing human being of a person. I placed a mobile order in person using my father’s phone because he was waiting in the car with my two young children so they could get ice cream. I wanted to use my own phone to try another offer since the app wasn’t working properly. My father even came inside to verify himself, yet I was made to wait over 20 minutes for management approval while my kids were losing it in the car waiting. Understandably. Instead of helping, the manager called me and was immediately arrogant, confrontational, and accusatory. He told me the issue was that I’m a woman using my father’s phone, then accused me of “trying to beat the system” and sarcastically congratulated me. That was never my intention—nothing even worked on my phone, which is why I placed the mobile order in the first place. When I asked a very reasonable question about whether appearances or gender expression affect how customers are treated, he escalated the situation himself, raised his voice, said “don’t go there because I’m (apart of that community),” completely lost his composure and his arrogance skyrocketed. When I tried to calmly explain the situation, he completely escalated it, raised his voice, made very inappropriate comments, threatened to cancel my app, and then HUNG UP ON ME without even asking my name. This was wildly unprofessional and unnecessary over a stupid ice cream order…

Got two blizzards last week after a workout and they were okay. They didn't have all the flavours I was expecting that I had seen on the website, and after the employee suggested that the Oreo Snowdrift blizzard would be really sweet, I went for the Choco-Dipped Strawberry instead. It had a good flavour but all the strawberry chunks were on the top so I ended up having to remix the blizzard myself, and there were literally only 4 strawberry chunks in the entire thing lol. I liked the taste of the strawberries but I should've swapped the chocolate for Oreo. My bf got the chocolate chip cookie dough and he said it was average. After grabbing our blizzards, I suddenly remembered that the employee did not flip them upside down. At the time I didn't really care, and I'm not gonna be nitpicky and ask her to flip my blizzards for no reason except to be pedantic, but looking back I can see why she didn't bc they were both quite melted lol, but we still ate them fine.

My friends and I stopped by to get Blizzards, but after a few bites they had a strong chemical/gasoline-like taste. We went back inside to let the staff know, but the employee we spoke with was rude, dismissive and accused us of being wrong and lying. She said she had eaten a Blizzard herself and had sold over 50 that day, and completely refused to consider that something might be wrong. The way the situation was handled felt very unprofessional and disappointing. Do not go to this location as the experience I was very unpleasant.

Edit: it seems that the owner changed their initial response... the comment that I got by email is not the response that is currently posted here by the owner. Absolutely terrible experience at this Dairy Queen. And from the looks of the other reviews of customers posting their experience, it seems others feel the same way. This location is a mess from start to finish. The service was unbelievably slow even though there was no one else there, and the staff acted like helping customers was a burden. No effort or basic courtesy. Pretty much just people who looked like they hated their job. I mean I would too if I worked for the manager responding to the other reviews. After waiting a long time my order was wrong, and instead of fixing it properly, I was met with attitude and eye-rolling. Sorry but if I am paying these high prices, I want what I actually ordered. Honestly, it felt like the person working there did not care at all. I’ve been reading other reviews, and it seems this is a consistent trend. Even more disgusting is the way the manager responds - dismissive, defensive, and completely clueless about basic customer relations. He clearly needs serious personal relations training. I wonder if corporate sees these comments… just so degrading and rude. The reviews from the other DQ stores are so much better and if there is a negative review, it is not responded to like the manager of this store replies. This location desperately needs a complete overhaul in both service and quality. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. I will never be coming back. I would rather drive a bit further than come to this location again.
