I visited this McDonald’s location in Stouffville with Autism Ontario during the summer of 2025, specifically in July. Overall, it was an average experience, but there were a few things that stood out to me—both positive and negative.
One thing that surprised me was that this location doesn’t have a PlayPlace, which was a bit disappointing, especially since many families visit with children. During my visit, I also noticed that one of the staff members, Bonnie, seemed very stressed. It made me concerned that she might not be getting the support she needs at work, and I really hope management ensures all employees have the help and understanding they deserve.
I also had an issue when trying to order from the self-serve kiosk—the system unexpectedly wiped out my order, which was frustrating. When I went to the counter for help, the employee who assisted me was kind but accidentally forgot part of my order. Thankfully, the manager handled the situation very well and made sure everything was corrected. She was professional and friendly, which I really appreciated.
While there are areas that could be improved—like better support for staff and more reliable ordering systems—I do want to acknowledge that the manager’s quick action and kindness made a difference. With a few improvements, this McDonald’s could be a much better experience for both customers and employees.
