- GPG PJan 4, 20261.0Very disappointing experience at the Swiss Chalet in Scarborough Town. We tried to use a coupon for a free appetizer that had been provided to us during a previous visit. Despite our entrées meeting the stated requirements, the coupon was refused without explanation, and the service was rude and dismissive. When we asked to speak with the manager, the server delayed and spoke in a way that made it clear our business was not valued. The manager’s response was also dismissive, and the coupon was still not honored. Because of this treatment, we decided to leave. We went to another Swiss Chalet afterward, where the coupon was honored immediately and the service was courteous, showing this issue was specific to this location. This will be the first and last time I visit this location. I will be sharing this experience with family and friends regarding the unprofessional, rude staff and management. I hope corporate reviews and addresses this situation, as it does not reflect the level of service I previously associated with Swiss Chalet. Update Jan10 restaurant management has shown no courtesy of following up very disappointing.

I called to let him know that my fries were not up to the usual standard because there were a lot of little broken, burnt pieces and he began arguing with me saying, ‘nobody else has complained about the fries today.’ He was very rude and very condescending and I will not be going back to this location because of him. It was the worse experience I’ve had at Swiss Chalet in 20 years.
