Very disappointing service. I ordered KFC through DoorDash for my work crew on site. To make sure everything was covered, I phoned the store directly and specifically asked them to include plates and cutlery. I was told it would be done.
When the order arrived, there were no plates or cutlery at all, which was extremely frustrating given this was for a crew working on site. I called the store back to let them know, and instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue, the staff member insisted it was “put in the bag,” even after I clearly explained multiple times that it was not.
Poor customer service, no accountability, and no effort to fix the mistake. This could have been handled easily with a simple apology, but instead I was dismissed. Not acceptable.

Their online order system is shit. It took 30 minutes for them to even start my order. Even though my order was flashing there I know it was busy, but they don’t prepare anything unless you remind them. What’s the point of ordering online then?
or should I take a big paper and a marker with me, write my order number on it and hold it in front of them? 🙌

"The Same Meal!"
Consider the number of KFC's in the GTA, better yet, consider the number run as Franchises. They are numerous.
I in my dutiful way, was asked by an elderly Aunt; she sitting in a Hospital, to bring her a Leg & Thigh and Fries from KFC.
I went to the Lawrence Morningside location as it was closest to me, ordered a couple of Chicken Sliders and Fries (Combo) $10.49 plus Tax. Finished my meal, ordered the Leg & Thigh with Fries (2 Dark with Fries) a typical order.
Imagine my surprise at the $14.20 Bill, which I paid without fuss (because they'll never see my custom ever again.
$4.49 for a Leg and $ 4.49 for a Thigh?
I could purchase an entire Roast Chicken for less than that in the Grocery Store.
Took a look at what was given: 3 pieces, only one piece resembled a Leg, while the other two, the young man behind the counter claimed he put in two Thighs, because one was small.
Small?
Perhaps the Thigh of a Pigeon, but neither were typical of KFC and all of it over cooked.
Ineptitude? Incompetence? Inexperience?
I decided, I'd remedy the meal with a stop at Bellamy & Lawrence.
I made the same order. They were just preparing a fresh batch; I was happy to wait -> 15 minutes.
The Manager and I spoke about what had transpired at the Lawrence & Morningside location, " You got robbed!"
She presented me with her bill for the meal I ordered: Leg & Thigh with Fries : $6.20 after Taxes.
I have photos as proof.
It is one thing to purchase a Franchise, especially if one is new to Canada and seeking to build a Future. It is another thing to skirt Ministry of Labour Laws & Hiring Practices, while cheating Customers, because one's business operation and employees lack the prerequisite experience.
What to conduct business in Canada, learn from Canadians in the same business: KFC Business.
BTW, the Manager at the Bellamy location is from the same region as the employees at the Morningside location; the difference, she worked the original KFC at Bellamy, when it was a Scotts Chicken Villa in the 70s, she has the experience and her location runs like a well oiled machine.
