I am an Uber delivery driver and I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated at this Taco Bell location. When I entered the store to pick up an order, I marked the order as “not ready” in the Uber app because the order had not yet been handed to me. This is something many drivers do when we arrive, since orders are often still being prepared and the system can otherwise record delays as if they were the driver’s fault. Shortly after I arrived, a female employee wearing glasses approached me and spoke to me in a very aggressive and confrontational tone, questioning why I had marked the order as not ready. I calmly explained that I had just arrived and had not received the order yet, and that I would mark it ready once it was handed to me. Instead of understanding, she argued that it had only been a few seconds and claimed it was “not fair.” The entire interaction felt unnecessary and hostile. What made the situation worse is that she then gave me a negative rating and even wrote down my name. When I politely asked for her name so I could report the situation if needed, she refused to provide it and said it was not their policy. Delivery drivers are simply doing their job and helping bring business to restaurants. Without drivers, many of these orders wouldn’t even reach customers. The least drivers deserve is to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. This experience was extremely unpleasant and disappointing. No driver should be spoken to in such an aggressive and disrespectful way for simply doing their job. I truly hope management takes this seriously and reminds staff that delivery drivers deserve the same level of respect as any other person walking into the restaurant.

I am an Uber delivery driver and had a very unpleasant experience at this Taco Bell location on Thursday, March 5th around 7:30 PM. When I entered the store to pick up an order, I marked the order as “not ready” in the Uber app. Many drivers do this when we arrive because orders are often not prepared when we reach the store, and the system sometimes records delays as the driver’s fault. I had not yet received the order at that time. A female employee wearing glasses approached me and started speaking to me in a very aggressive tone, asking why I marked the order as “not ready.” I calmly explained that I had just arrived and had not yet received the order, and that I would mark it ready once it was handed to me. She said it had only been 35 seconds and claimed it was “not fair,” then walked away and later gave me a negative rating. She also wrote down my name, and when I politely asked for her name so I could report the incident if needed, she refused and said it was not their policy to provide it. As delivery drivers, we are simply doing our job and helping bring business to the restaurant. Drivers should be treated with basic respect and professionalism. This interaction felt hostile and unnecessary, and it made the environment feel unfriendly and uncomfortable for drivers. I hope management reviews this situation and reminds staff to treat delivery drivers respectfully and communicate professionally.
