  Somehow we picked the busiest night of the year it seemed like to go for dinner. Went to crabby Joe's and couldn't get a table.. wait was over an hr. Then went to chucks road house. Wait was even longer there for a table and was informed that it was because 2 important hockey teams were expected to come in.. seemed odd as we were already there and they weren't so we left.. then decided to go to east side Mario's.. waited only a few minutes to get a table.. were very happy as we had plans to go to the movies as well.. after the first hr of waiting for our meals we decided to forget going to the movies as now would just be a rush and we wouldn't be able to enjoy dinner and a few drinks.. The waitress we ended up getting was excellent... brought us everything we wanted and needed very very quickly. My wife and I have been together almost 22 yrs and this was the best waitress we've ever had.. she was pleasant and cheery. All around great to order with and got everything absolutely right which is very un expected as we normally have issues with something when we go out to dinner... After being there for almost 2hrs waiting for our food, we had 4 drinks each and we were told we were cut off by the manager.. who the hell gets cut off after 4 drinks each in 2 hrs and we were seated in the corner right near the kitchen. Talking only to ourselves and the waitress that delivered our apps and drinks. Like really?? We were not loud and obnoxious or bothering anyone. We asked for the manager that cut us off to come to the table so we could ask why. Of course he would not come to our table. Sad. We were not drunk or even close to it. We tipped the waitress very well and left Definitely disappointed with the manager.. ridiculous.. and likely will not return because of the manager..

  I never write negative reviews, however I am just so frustrated by the lack of effort that East Side provides to attention to detail. I have consistently received the wrong order - whether in person, pick up or delivery. I even made a point of asking today that they review my order to be certain that it is correct as I have had problems in the past, but again it was wrong. I have no issue with the food itself, I just never get what I order and I am always left annoyed, disappointed and hungry. Please take a moment to check the orders are accurate before giving them to the customer. I genuinely feel this isn't something I should have to keep explaining.

  Placed an order online for 7:20. Get there at 7:15 and go to the sign where it says to pick it up.. was ignored forever until 7:48 and I finally said something and got my nice cold food. What a waste of $65. There were about 3 other people in the same predicament beside me. No good customer service anywhere anymore. Wont be back..

  We have always enjoyed East Side Mario's Sarnia and the food and service have always been very good. Just a quick question as to what is happening to the entrance? It's only because we are from Sarnia and know the level of service and food quality that we return. If we were not from here, i.e. visiting the city, there is no way we would ever approach this restaurant with its 'sketchy' entrance and decor. The wood on the north side is all rotten and the awning looks horrible with missing panels and damaged lights. The outside wall lights look like they are ready to fall into the awnings or completely off the building itself. If we were to solely base our visit on 'curb appeal', we would never set foot in the place. Isn't there some sort of franchise obligation to keep the place upgraded or at minimum, in good repair? Looks like a derelict, deserted building out front which we suspect would make it difficult to attract patrons. First impressions are very important!

  My daughter recommended this place for us based on word of mouth that she received from one of her friends. Tonight we drove at least an hour to get here (plus the headache of the blue water bridge and customs) and east side mario's did not disappoint! There was a short wait for a table at about 6pm when we arrived and the place was packed! Once we got to our booth there was another short wait for our orders to be taken, but after this the ball was rolling everything was in motion. Our drinks were served promptly. Bread, salads, and appetizers followed shortly after. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Empty plates were taken from the table right away and the bread kept coming! Our waiter let us know about 5minutes before our entres were ready and asked if we would like more soup, salad, etc. I got a double bacon something which was very good, my son ordered a pizza, but it was my daughter's dinner that will bring me back. She had chicken that was absolutely to die for! OMG i have never had better chicken in all my (almost) 60 years! My son's Italian Wedding Soup was also amazing! I don't think i will do desert on my next visit. Our server was amazed we drove over an hour from the US specifically for this restaurant. for a moment i thought he was going to get a manager to share how far we drove to be here. definately a 5star visit, good service, great food, amazing time!
