  We had a fantastic experience at Swiss Chalet thanks to our server, Ghazal. Her service was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome the entire time. My kids really loved her, she was so kind and patient with them, and she made the whole dinner feel fun and comfortable. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests and goes out of her way to make sure everyone has a great experience. Ghazal is such a warm and genuine person, and she truly made our visit special. Because of her wonderful service, we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Ghazal, for making our family dinner so enjoyable!

  I ordered a quarter white meat chicken with fries, accompanied by spring rolls as an appetizer. The meal was excellent. The spring rolls had a wonderfully crunchy texture and were absolutely delightful. My husband ordered the spinach dip for his appetizer and a chicken and ribs combo for his main course. His plate looked quite hearty when it arrived. We shared the appetizer and finished it quickly. For dessert, we enjoyed a strawberry cheesecake, which was rich and flavorful—a perfect ending to our meal. Our server, Ghazal, was exceptionally friendly and energetic—shout out to her for providing such attentive service. I look forward to returning and seeing her again. The restaurant was clean, and the music created a pleasant atmosphere.

  I recently visited Swiss Chalet in Richmond Hill (Yonge St location) and overall had a very pleasant experience. This location is convenient, easy to access, and located in a plaza with plenty of parking, which already makes the visit stress-free compared with many other restaurants in the area. First, the service stood out as friendly and efficient. The staff greeted us promptly when we entered, and even though the restaurant was moderately busy, we were seated within a few minutes. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Drinks were brought quickly, and they checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well. I appreciate when servers strike that balance between being helpful and giving guests space to enjoy their meal. Of course, the main reason people go to Swiss Chalet is for the rotisserie chicken, and this location did not disappoint. The chicken was tender, juicy, and cooked exactly as expected. The seasoning had that classic Swiss Chalet flavor that many Canadians have grown up with. The portion size was generous, and the skin had a nice roasted texture without being overly greasy. The signature chalet dipping sauce deserves special mention. It’s a big part of the Swiss Chalet experience, and it was as flavorful as always. The sauce has that unique savory taste that pairs perfectly with the chicken and fries. It’s one of those things that really defines the brand. We also ordered a few sides, including fries and coleslaw. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside, which is exactly how they should be. The coleslaw was fresh and had a nice balance between sweet and tangy. Sometimes side dishes can feel like an afterthought at chain restaurants, but everything here felt properly prepared. Another thing I appreciated was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The dining area was tidy, the tables were well spaced, and the overall environment felt comfortable. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it a good place for family dinners, casual meetups, or even a quick meal after shopping nearby. The value for money is also reasonable. Compared with many restaurants these days, Swiss Chalet still offers decent portion sizes at fair prices. For a sit-down meal with good service, it feels like good value. It’s especially nice if you want a reliable meal without spending too much. One feature I noticed is that this location offers multiple ordering options, including dine-in, takeout, and delivery. That flexibility is great because sometimes you want the restaurant experience, and other times you just want to pick up a quick dinner. It’s convenient that they accommodate all of those options. If I had to mention a small area for improvement, it would be the waiting time during peak hours, which can get a little longer. However, that’s fairly normal for popular restaurants, and the staff still handled the flow of customers quite well. Overall, this Swiss Chalet location delivers exactly what people expect: consistent food quality, friendly service, and a comfortable dining environment. It’s a dependable place if you’re craving classic rotisserie chicken and a relaxed meal. I would definitely return to this location again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable casual dining option in Richmond Hill.

  Had dinner at Swiss Chalet and ordered the 1/4 chicken (White Meat) for myself and the 1/2 chicken for my husband. The food was good, but what truly made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Ghazal, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and very attentive the entire time. She kept checking in to make sure everything was good, asked about the quality of the food, and made sure we had everything we needed. Anytime we asked for something, she brought it right away with a smile. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and takes pride in her work. It’s rare to see service this professional and warm at the same time. Swiss Chalet is lucky to have her! Thank you Ghazal!

  We dined in and received exceptional service from Ghazal. She was attentive, kind, and made sure any concerns we had were addressed promptly. Even though we arrived around 8:30pm, we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. We ordered the quarter chicken dinner and the special chicken and shrimp meal, and we would recommend both dishes — minus the rice pilaf. The food did take a little longer than expected to come out, and my pilaf rice was unfortunately a bit stale. However, our server replaced it right away without any hesitation. Overall, the service truly stood out, and we would recommend this restaurant.
