- SWShelly WithersMar 27, 20261.0I'm diabetic. I ordered a coffee with cream no sugar. I always get get Splenda on the side so I am sure what is put in my coffee. I put the Splenda in my coffee and began to drink it. It tasted sweeter than usual so I tested with a strip for detecting sugar but it didn't work in my coffee. Drank some then my sugars skyrocketed. Lesson learned. But have never had this happened before at my usual McDonald's.
