Update: I emailed the business as per their instructions in the below message 10 days ago and didn’t hear back from them at all.
I think someone else posted the same saying they never got the response. So may be they are just replying on google to show the world that they care?
Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
I had heard a lot about this shawarma place, and even though it’s quite far from our home, I finally decided to visit with my wife and our 2-year-old. We arrived at 8:20 PM and immediately noticed that the dining chairs were already upside down. I asked an employee if we could still eat inside. Instead of a clear answer, he went back and spoke with other staff in Arabic for a few minutes. Eventually, he told me they “close at 8:40 PM,” giving us barely 15 minutes.
To clarify, I asked if he meant they stop taking new orders at 8:40 PM but allow customers to finish their meals since their listed closing time is 9:00 PM (as shown on Google and on their door). He bluntly said no, in a very rude tone.
We had driven 20 km to get there, so despite the poor interaction, I agreed to eat quickly, hoping they might at least allow us a few extra minutes. Instead, at exactly 8:40 PM, the same employee came back and said, “Not to rush you, but we close in 3 minutes.” At that point, it was clear they fully expected us to leave immediately, despite advertising a 9:00 PM closing time. That is completely misleading and unacceptable.
To make matters worse, my wife found a hair in her sandwich. When I brought this up, the employee showed no concern and casually told me to “come tomorrow” for a replacement. I explained that I had already driven 20 km and would not be coming back just for a sandwich. His response? “Talk to the owner tomorrow.” No apology, no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue on the spot.
I was extremely frustrated, but chose to leave quietly for the sake of my family.
Between the rude service, misleading hours, and completely unacceptable food hygiene issue, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I will definitely not be returning
