  If I could give 100 stars, I would. On Saturday December 20th, I was hosting a staff Christmas party for our Operating Room staff which included Nurses, Surgeons, and Anesthesiologists. On the day of the event, our original venue lost power just 4 hours before our party was supposed to start and we had to re-direct everyone to a new venue with 4 hours notice. Our new venue was the BIER MARKT on Sparks street. They made space for us in the back area of the restaurant, which is a Christmas miracle that they could figure out how to accommodate us on the last Saturday in downtown Ottawa before Christmas. They were all hands on deck, calling staff to come in early and on their days off or stay late for their shifts to help them now prepare an entire party with food and drinks for 120 of us. They had staff doing double shifts all to save our Christmas party and they did an INCREDIBLE job. I can not thank them enough for pulling through like that for us and being in such good spirits and incredible service. Their waitresses and bartenders waited on our group and had a new drink in our hand before we even had to ask. The food was phenomenal with an assortment of flatbreads, chicken and duck wings, charcuterie boards, cheese boards, fries, poutine, calamari, cauliflower bites, chicken fingers, dessert platters...all of it was above and beyond what I expected, especially with the incredibly short notice. They were also great at coordinating our guests with food allergies and intolerances, making sure they were well fed and offering various options for them (Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian etc.). We were also able to bring our own DJ and the sound quality in the back area was so perfect and lots of room for us to dance. I'd especially like to thank the AGM, Sabrina, for helping me coordinate all this and taking away all my stress and handling this with such ease and professionalism. Her shift started early in the morning, and she must have been one of the last ones there ensuring our night was successful. One quick phone call between us and she knew exactly what to do, all I had to do was re-direct people and the rest was in her capable hands. And to Matt, the floor manager, for running the show upon our arrival alongside Sabrina. You guys were incredible, your chefs, hostess, and waitresses were the best I've seen. You saved Christmas! We can not thank you enough. I would recommend this venue for any future group events. To see what they could accomplish in just 4 hours, imagine what they could do with a little more notice (not sure how it could get any better though). THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

  I organized an office Christmas party for approximately 40 people this past weekend. The booking process was seamless working with Natalie. She was extremely accommodating and quick to answer all of my questions. We had an area in the restaurant away from the main restaurant which was perfect. The food was excellent and the Servers/Service was impeccable. Couldn't have asked for better. Thanks for making our event a success!!
