  Everything about the place was really good. Good food, great servers, and good atmosphere. However, there were a few things that really ticked me off about the place. One of the staff came to our table. We hadn’t eaten yet but she asked for a review about the place. She also didn’t leave us until we did. She said she “needed” to see us make the reviews. She didn’t serve us or anything, she just came and asked for a review. Actually? Not asked. Forced a review. She Answered the review for 1 of the people on our table. So idk how many of these reviews she fabricated but that really ticked me off to be honest. I only have nice things to say about the waitresses who served us but that lady who asked for feedback? Yeah I don’t wanna see her again. Food also got served longer than it should have but maybe it was just because we ordered a lot.

  Honestly, the best Swiss Chalet around. The staff here are wonderful. They have gotten to recognize my wife and me over the years and know us and our orders. I came in once alone and teary eyed (received bad news while wife was out of the country and needed to not have to think about dinner) and both the manager and waitress came and checked on me. They cracked jokes until I was laughing. So absolutely sweet of them to check in on me. It’s the perfect comfort place and even though we’ve moved away, we come back here whenever we’re in Durham region :)

  It's one step up from fast food and that's okay. That's what we go for. Quick and yummy, but a bit nicer than fast food. However, the last two times we have gone it's taken so much longer to get our food. Tons of tables are empty, too. It's been a Friday and Saturday evenings, so you'd think they'd be fully staffed. If you're in North Oshawa, I'd go to Toad Stool instead. Food is yummy, service is quick, and it's supporting local. I guess Swiss Chalet is probably a local franchise, but still.

  ordered family size fries few weeks ago, they were soggy, stale, and not even half box was filled ( which definitely wasn't enough for 4 people ( as advertised). ).. after trying to reach the store for almost an hour, finally a credit was issued.. ordered fries again, using the credit.. exactly same issue, half box of fries and soggy.. plus on top of that, 40 minute wait time (only ordered fries and gravy !) so they basically gave me a credit towards the same or even worse experience.. especially with the 40 min wait. if you give someone a credit, at least try to make it bit better 2nd time around. I've initially removed the first negative review, after receiving the credit.. but this time, it was even worse, with the 40 min wait.

  My first time at this location, When I walked in I was greeted by the hostess which placed me on a table without a booth and I specifically asked for a booth. She told me there was no Booth available when I went to wash my hands and I came out of the washroom. I noticed a booth became available and the hostess was placing a couple there and did not have the courtesy of asking my fiance who was sitting at the table waiting for me to move us. I was quite disappointed considering it was my birthday dinner. When our server Jackie approached me I explained the situation that I told her I really wanted a booth and what had happened and I was very disappointed. Jackie was so accommodating she immediately said she would correct the issue and seat me in another boorh; I advised her that I did not want to make a big issue of it as it was my birthday and I did not want to disappoint anyone and have it ruining evening however it just left a really bad taste in my mouth. Well let me tell you Jackie moved me to a really nice Booth she was so accommodating and so sweet she apologized profusely over and over again. As she wanted to make my birthday dinner a nice experience. She asked for my name and my fiance's name, she actually remembered our name during the entire dinner she addressed Us by your names oh my goodness I don't think I've ever had that with another restaurant. Great memory and it shows that she really valued me as a customer remembering the customer's names and addressing them by that that means a lot. Her service was exceptional. What a true representation of Swiss chalet. Kudos to Swiss Chalet Harmony location to Jackie. As I sat and had dinner I watched Jackie hustled around the entire floor and served everyone, attending to everyone's needs with the very beautiful smile as well as a beautiful greeting. I don't know about others but let me tell you what I gathered from the evening she was busting her ass at these tables. Lol. She certainly worked hard as anyone in the dining room would have seen as well. Thank you Jackie for making my birthday experience so enjoyable and memorable; what started off with a horrible experience turned up to be an amazing experience. I actually spoke to the manager Belkiss and advised her whatever transpired upon walking into the restaurant. As I wanted to really make a point of letting her know what an amazing hard-working dedicated committed employee Jackie is. Thank you Jackie. I will definitely be back at this location.
