Ordered the short rib beef, the tiny piece of meat was delicious but would like to know where the rest of the meal was, that wasn't 36 bucks worth of anything, came with mashed potatoes, just enough to line the bowl it came in, half a dozen small pieces of vegetable and to add insult, the asparagus was the woody parts of the stalk, old and yellowed. When I mentioned it, I was given a 10$ gift card, which I won't be using since I shan't return.
Stopped in for lunch, we had a Naan Chicken Club which was good. The portion of French fries that came with the sandwich, however, was on the small side.
Our server was good, attentive and friendly.
The negative part to our lunch was when we paid the bill.
When we were ordering, I had asked the server about some of the beer on tap that were on the menu for $8. I didnt want any of them and then asked if they had another particular beer available(it was a Molson product not listed on the menu) The server said no. I then ordered a beer that was on the menu for $7.
When the server brought our beer, he said they did have the beer i asked about and brought that to me instead. I thought that was very nice of him.
It was not until after we paid that I looked over the bill and saw that I was charged $11.50 for the beer. $4.50 more than the other Molson beer I originally ordered.
Perhaps I should have clarified the cost of the beer, but he brought it already poured.
He should have asked first to see if I wanted it for that price! He did not! That put a very sour note to our lunch.

I would like to personally thank Pranav for delivering an exceptional level of professional service during a recent visit to celebrate my birthday. Baxter's Landing is my preferred location for every special occasion, and since I only visit every few months to celebrate significant milestones, the level of situational awareness Pranav demonstrated was absolutely remarkable.
While Pranav had been a welcoming presence during my previous visits, this was my first experience being served by him directly. It was incredibly impressive to find that he had quietly observed my specific preferences from my past interactions with other staff members. When it came time to place my order, he proactively confirmed those preferences before I even had the chance to mention them. Unlike other servers who often wait to be flagged down, Pranav seemed to know by instinct what we would need before we even needed it. It is rare to encounter a server who takes the initiative to learn a guest's needs through observation alone despite the months between visits, ensuring the experience felt genuinely personalized from the start.
Throughout the meal, Pranav ensured that every guest at our table had exactly what they needed, maintaining a seamless and high-quality experience for the entire group. His ability to anticipate needs and his focus on detail reflect a high level of professional care and commitment to excellence.

I recently visited Baxters Landing and had an awesome experience. The atmosphere was really welcoming and had a great vibe—perfect for a night out or even just a casual meal.
The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh and well made. You can tell they put effort into both the quality and presentation. The menu has a lot of solid options, so there’s something for everyone.
What stood out the most was the service. Greg especially and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of without being over the top.
Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to friends. Great food, great service, and a great overall experience!
History repeats itself….meh
My wife and I originally went here when it opened and we were not impressed then. It was many years ago and we cannot remember all the details , defiantly the food selection and price was the biggest disappointment then and still to this day.
It started with the calamari . The meat itself was pretty good, except for the fact that the crust on the outside was literally three times thicker than the squid. That itself was a huge turn off, but we progressed through to the main course
I ordered fish tacos and added an extra one as I was very hungry when I received them the fish was very strong tasting and pungent
, as well as as it must’ve been wet when they battered it as it was very soggy on the inside.
The pickled vegetables seemed very sad and flavourless. I didn’t finish the food it was gross .
My wife’s meal was a chicken carbonara and it just seemed like fake pre-cut store bought chicken. It had a way too strong of a smoky flavour to cover up something that they couldn’t make right.
My son‘s meal was noodles and red sauce and that was the only thing that was actually good.
When we told the waiter about the meal he said he would talk to the manager. He offered a free dessert before heading to to management but we declined as we feared that would be disappointing as well . When he came back he gave us a ten dollar voucher . That’s it. No manager came over to talk about this . We told the waiter we won’t return and left the voucher there .
$110 dollars for horrible food and sub par waiter.
Now we know never to return and tell all our friends and family to steer far from Baxter’s landing .
