For lunch I chose the Teriyaki Rice bowl. Although it tasted fine, the menu said it would have broccoli. There was none to be found but tons of snow peas. I was disappointed. Our server disappeared for a long while. My sister's and I were there on a Friday for a 1:30 lunch. The restaurant was not that busy with 2 servers plus another person around. I thought the service should have been a lot better.

Way over priced for what you get for food and service. We ordered the Brussel sprouts app and 2 steak and sushi dinners… within 5 mins of ordering our waitress brought our main meal out…. We were surprised at the speed and reminded her that we ordered an app first….. steak was undercooked ( both were supposed to be med rare) served in a small cast iron pan no mushrooms no onions and the sushi was blah (never had sushi like that they must order it in frozen.) finally our app came out…. It was a bowl of brussels sprout leaves charred completely black with a couple of brussels sprouts underneath ( still tasting the char the next morning 😬) anyways we both had 2 drinks each ( 2 beers 2 vodka and water) $180 😳😳🤯. Go to Montana’s or chucks you’ll get twice the food for half the price.

I have always enjoyed your restaurant, good atmosphere, good service and a good time. I have loved your Cobb Salad, my opinion the best around but tonight I came in and was told the menu has changed and so has the Cobb Salad. I ordered it remembering how great it was but tonight the current Cobb Salad is nowhere as good as the old Cob Salad. I don’t know if ingredients have changed, the dressing or maybe you have a new chef? I just wanted you to know.

Brutal have ordered 3 separate times to first time was decent had the enchiladas, second time enchiladas might as well have been a different thing all together dry and flavourless- this 3rd and final time I tried the “soup” dumpling which were just frozen pork dumplings with soy sauce on top and the ramen special which came as a brick of mush in a litre container with a plain piece of grilled chicken and a boiled egg far from what’s described on the menu I took two bites and threw it out

. This was my second time the first time I went the food was dry and terrible that I thought I would give it a sec/..ond chance what I got was a similar experience. The beef dip I got was more bread than meat. The sauce was oily thin and was a waste. We were a table of 6 given a long table where we all faced the bar. Socializing with each other gave us neck cramps. The sushi was crusty and overcooked, how do you screw up rice. The chicken burgers were dry and seemed like texture with seasoning on it. My wife and I had. One main the beef dip, two apps, overcooked sushi and the calamari plate. The calamari came beautifully arranged and the plate was bursting with seafood. I gleefully went at it only to discover at most 4-5 actual pieces of calamari while the rest of the plate was battered sliced onion and a few vegetables. The waitress was the only reason I didnt make a scene, she was very friendly and the only redeeming aspect of our meal. We were asked about our meal by the manager but I held back from saying anything to not make a scene with all my family there. As a family we rarely get together but this was a special occasion. What I learned from these two experiences is that I’m totally done with chain restaurants that put all their money into profit and making the place look nice but give so little effort into the quality of the food. The food LOOKS amazing, presentation is 5/5, but it’s supposed to be actual food. One main dish , two apps a soda and one boozy drink came to $96. I will forever stick with the downtown core restaurants where the actual owner is there making sure your happy. Downtown is where you get real food. It might cost the same but I’m cool with it if it’s worth it, State and main is NOT worth it , stay clear.
