The owner is there herself each day, hands-on and making sure everything runs smoothly. You can see the pride in how the team works and how clean and organized the store always is. Everywhere I went, I saw this beautiful burger plastered across billboards all over town. It screamed my name, and I just needed to try it. One small problem: I was locked into a diet and kept almost succumbing to the temptation of eating one of these beauties. Until one day, after working hard, I finally brought one of these new burgers. Eagerly, I opened the container with closed eyes and smelled it—delicious, everything I dreamt of and more. I opened my eyes… I saw two paper-thin patties, the beef less than a centimeter thick, almost transparent. The cheese? Barely noticeable. And to top it off, there were random slices of onion so thin they looked like grains of rice scattered in my meal. The expectations vs. reality? Not gloomier than its taste. Yeah, this meal just inspired me to stick to my diet. Good job, McDonald’s—your food had the exact opposite effect of what it was supposed to. Wouldn’t recommend.
