Indifferent staff and management.Today me and my wife ordered 1 dbl hamburger via the app, as we were driving to Hamilton and I needed a small snack. My order (as per the receipt) 1dbl hamburger, NO onions, add EXTRA pickles. We drive through, pickup the hamburger, in a bag, pull away, and before we get down the street, we realize there are NO pickles and EXTRA onions - reversed. Further to that, there was easily enough ketchup for 5 to 6 hamburgers put on this one hamburger - I understand that many will think I am embellishing for dramatic flair, but truly, it was an absurd amount of ketchup. We turn the car around, go back through the drive through, explain what happened and handed them the hamburger and the receipt. It was clear that the individual was indifferent to it all, but then shortly after it becomes worse than indifferent, as they proceed to speak in a manner as though it were our fault. Asking us to clarify what we actually ordered and what we wanted changed, attemptingto emphasize that we wanted a change . I advised them to please look at the receipt and that they would clearly see we are not changing anything, we are simply asking for what we ordered, as per the receipt. I then added "but could I ask that you only put the normal amount of ketchup this time". The individual rolls their eyes, as they realize that their attempt to place blame on us backfired. No apologies, no explanation, we were simply asked to wait. Eventually we receive another bag with a new dbl hamburger in it.
You're not going to believe this.....we open the bag and this time there are indeed Extra pickles, and the entire hamburger is covered in onions and ketchup! Enough onions for 10 hamburgers, and enough ketchup for 8 hamburgers. I asked for a refund and I was given one, along with a condensing and sarcastic apology from the manager on duty. This location has been going downhill for a while. Owners, train your employees, give them proper feedback, empower them, provide proper oversight, ensure accountability. It's your business that is being run into the ground.
I usually rely on Google reviews to choose new places & I also post a lot of reviews myself. I noticed this branch had lower ratings, but it was close to my work so I decided to give it a shot, 1x breakfast chicken wrap for $6 & honestly the food was fresh, the quantity was good (surprisingly) & I was satisfied!
Of course, some people may have had bad experiences for their own reasons maybe timing, busy hours or something else but from my side my breakfast experience was fresh, delicious & exactly what I expected in the morning, so imma give it a 5 ⭐️
Id recommend double checking every item in you order before you leave as ive caught mistakes both major and minor almost everytime ive ordered from here.
Theres always flies by the drink dispenser as well.
I am lactose intolerant and ordered a chicken mcmuffin meal with light mayo and no cheese, and added lettuce. At the window I pointed out I didn't see these requests on the screen but was told they would happen. It said 'Ask me' on the screen which was meant for these requests. Then at the payment windows and the pickup windows I asked both workers to confirm my requests were honored and both times I was told yes. This is what I just opened. This shows a complete lack of care and this location is known for these sort of incompetencies occurring more often.
I went to the McDonald’s on Trafalgar this morning, and the experience was honestly really strange. The girl working the drive-thru was extremely quiet and didn’t respond when I said “good morning.” Even when I said “thank you,” she just shook her head and didn’t say a word.
It’s early in the morning nobody wants negativity or weird energy to start their day. If someone is working in customer service, especially at the drive-thru, they should at least acknowledge customers and be polite. It really felt like she didn’t want to be there. This location seriously needs to work on their customer service or hire staff who actually communicate.
On top of everything, they even mixed up my coffee. I asked for a double-double, and they handed me a black coffee. I actually went inside to fix it, and I confronted them about it. I told them straight up that the girl at the drive-thru was acting miserable and unprofessional.
There was an older lady inside who was polite and apologized for the mistake, but I made it clear that the drive-thru girl’s attitude was unacceptable. She’s so miserable at her job that she shouldn’t even be dealing with customers. I don’t know who she is, but whoever is working that drive-thru needs to be addressed.
