I had to write a review because my chicken and waffles yesterday was horrible.
The waffles I couldn’t even cut with a knife so I had to ask for a steak knife.
The buttermilk bacon ranch was too thick.
I had to pay extra for maple syrup ( for my chicken and waffles? What… )
The chicken was overly done. I couldn’t cut it either. I got two pieces that were extremely thin and almost burnt. My frozen chicken tenders at home could have been better.
I am a long time fan of Harper’s but this dish was a huge disappointment.
Our server was lovely though.
Don’t get the chicken and waffles ($22) and save your money. Really confused cause I really do love this resto but will rethink my options more.

Lauren always serves my family and I and is always so sweet! She’s super kind and always answers any questions we have about the menu, and recommends what she thinks is best if we’re unsure! She always cares for my family attentively!

We dined here on December 22, two couples getting together for a pre holiday meal. Firstly, we wanted to order a number of appetizers to share - including the nachos. We were told that they "were out of the nachos"...what?! What restaurant runs out of nachos at 7 pm during the busy holiday season. No problem, we order a number of other items, including the calamari. Imagine our surprise as we are eating, one of our table mates takes a piece of the calamari - starts chewing - and it's extra chewy - like inedible chewy - and that is because it was a rubber band fried with the calamari. We immediately call a manager over who takes the dish away. We are told our entire meal is being comped - not necessary but very nice. As we finish our meal - the waitress comes over, to say unfortunately we are not having our meal comped - that was a mistake - we are being given the staff discount of 20% off. Are you kidding me? That includes 20% off the rubber band calamari. Worst service and attention to a major issue ever - we don't blame the server - this falls solely on management. At the very least the calamari should have been fully removed from the bill. I get it, the restaurant business is a tough one, especially right now, but this is a lesson in how not to do business.

Pretty disappointing visit to Harper’s Landing last week. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for a waitress to come by after being seated and eventually resorted to asking the hostess for water because we still hadn’t seen someone. By the time our ordered drinks arrived at the table, most of the ice had melted - which tells you how long they sat there. When she was clearing our dishes, she picked up someone’s used cutlery and placed them on our shareable dish that was still being eaten! This was honestly disgusting, and especially during flu season, is a basic health safety issue. No one touched it after that. The food was okay, but we had to realize on our own that the happy hour menu was on because our server didn’t tell us. She didn’t check on our food once and I again had to ask another hostess for water. Food was fine, but the service was so unresponsive that it ruined the night. Not my usual experience at a Landing restaurant, I really was disappointed in this location.
