  I've visited the restaurant several times, but each time the situation worsens. The wait times are long, even though the restaurant isn't busy. The meals I order are no longer cooked properly; for example, the meat is cut into small pieces, and the rice and meat portions are insufficient. We hope the manager will look into this because it's become quite annoying.

  I recently dined at Monasaba on Dundas Street in Mississauga and had an absolutely excellent experience. The food was outstanding from start to finish, especially the lamb and chicken mandi. The meat was incredibly tender, packed with flavour, and cooked perfectly, falling right off the bone. The rice was fragrant, well-seasoned, and layered with spices, fried onions, and subtle sweetness that really elevated the dish. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, easily some of the best Yemeni-style food I’ve had in the GTA. Portions were very generous, offering great value for the quality and quantity of food served. The dishes are clearly prepared with care, and you can taste the traditional cooking style in every bite. The restaurant itself has a casual, comfortable atmosphere, with a simple but welcoming interior that feels family-friendly and relaxed. It’s not a fine-dining setting, but it fits perfectly with the style of food they serve — warm, hearty, and unfussy. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly, even during busy times. Overall, I’d give it a 5/5 stars. The combination of authentic flavours, excellent mandi, and great portion sizes makes Monasaba a standout spot in Mississauga, and I would absolutely return again and again. They also have an outlet at Ridgeway plaza which I have also visited several times and found the quality/ service to be as good as the Dundas location albeit with a more modern and updated interior.

  I have been a regular customer at Monasaba This time I am very dissatisfied with the service They served cold rice and the taste has changed as well.. NO SALT AT ALL IN FOOD Only 1 person working in the front as a cashier and a server plus taking phone orders ! Heights of exploiting the employees at minimum wages !

  I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant, especially considering that we’ve been loyal customers for over two years. My brother drove a long distance to pick up food and specifically asked for a single-person portion priced at $28, along with just one extra piece of lamb. However, he was charged $40 for that one additional piece, which already felt unreasonable. When he got home and opened the meal, it was even more frustrating — the portion was extremely small, barely enough for one person. It looked like a plate of leftover rice with only about three small pieces of lamb, most of which were fatty. What made the situation worse was the lack of proper customer service. When I called to understand what happened, the person on the phone repeatedly asked me to repeat myself multiple times, showing a lack of attention and communication skills. Then another employee took over, and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told none were available. Instead of addressing the issue seriously, I was offered a credit for one extra piece of meat on a future order — which completely missed the point. I wasn’t calling for free food; I simply wanted a clear explanation for the overcharge and the poor portion size. Overall, this experience felt very unprofessional and disappointing. After being a regular customer for so long, I expected much better in terms of both food quality and customer service.
