- RYRob YOct 29, 20251.0The whole experience at Swiss Chalet located at 1455 Dundas Street in Mississauga was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! We took a friend of ours out for a celebratory dinner as she had just purchased a new car. My friends ordered drinks as I was on an urgent phone call away from the table. When I came back from the table about 10 minutes later or so they had their drinks. I ordered a tall glass of wine. Our guest had the same. My associate had a Caeser.We ordered 1 iced rea & one diet Pepsi. My associate and I ordered each half chicken meals. We specifically asked for the chicken to be well cooked well done. When we start up to eat the meal we noticed the chicken was not well done as a matter of fact it was undercooked in our opinions. When we ask the server to redo the meals she said I can't put them on the grill because that would be cross-contamination. To which I said I don't care what you have to do we want her chicken well done. The server asked if he wanted to talk to the manager and we said yes. The manager came to our table looked at our chicken and said that they cook their chicken at 375° for however many minutes and that their chicken is well done. I explained to her that my family has been in the restaurant business in Canada for generations and that I've had all done chicken at Swiss Chalet anytime I've asked for it? Only then did the manager say that she would grill the chicken. The point is we ate the fries and a stale bun while we waited for our chicken to be redone. We had to ask for Chalet gravy as ours was congealed by this point! I had to personally go and find the server to find my glass of wine which after 15 minutes had not arrived under table! On top of this they charged us for one extra glass of tall wine! When the server finally brought it to the table I asked her if it was trucked in from Niagara jokingly and she replied jokingly maybe it came by train. I had to leave the table to go find straws for our soft drinks which cost $3.50 each & our server never came back to our table to ask if we wanted to refill! We complained to management and that was like talking to a wall. I will never return to this restaurant our bill was $126.00 and considering the horrible experience that we had I was never recommend this location to anyone. You need to read the reviews to know what I'm talking about exactly.
