This Subway is the worst I’ve encountered.* I ordered 2 foot-long sandwiches for take-out. First one was rotisserie style chicken and second sweet onion chicken teriyaki both on cheese bread. But when I opened up the wrap at home, I immediately noticed the rotisserie chicken was on plain bread. No big deal. When my daughter took her first bite of the chicken teriyaki, she immediately noticed the taste and texture of the “chicken” was off. We investigated and found out it was not chicken at all. Instead, it was some rubbery bean curd like cubes that were intended to imitate chicken. I called the restaurant right away and talked to the manager/owner. But all I got was total denial. He suggested I call the head office, then hung up the phone abruptly. No apology, no respect, no accountability — just attitude. It’s obvious this place runs on cutting corners and scamming customers rather than serving real food or basic decency. I have never felt so cheated by a restaurant in my life. This Subwayis an absolute disgrace to the food industry. They advertise “fresh, authentic ingredients, 100% Canadian” but what lands on your plate is not what they claimed it to be. It’s straight-up false advertising and fraud. This also raises concerns for food safety. Who knows what else they are using to imitate the menu ingredients?! Rest assured I will not only be contacting the head office, but also Public Health. If you are reading the review this far, do yourself a huge favour by avoiding this Subway. Save your money, your time, and most importantly your health. There are plenty of honest, hardworking restaurants out there — this one is not it. I wouldn’t eat here again if the meal were free.
