I asked to order a hotdog and was told I’d need to wait 10 minutes. No problem—I was happy to wait and even set a timer. When I went to pay, the staff member asked me to step aside and wait. Again, I complied. Five minutes later, I saw another customer being served a hotdog, so I went back to the counter, assuming mine might be ready. But instead, I was told, “Sorry, we have none left.” Excuse me—what? I had been waiting exactly as instructed, and somehow hotdogs were served to others while I was pushed aside and left with nothing. If items are limited or sold out, just say so. Or at the very least, keep track of who’s been waiting. It’s frustrating to be excited for something, wait patiently, and then be turned away with no explanation. Honestly, do better.
