  Nika was amazing with her service, she was so attentive and friendly. We came for dinner and she provided us with the best service we’ve ever had across all of the East Side Mario’s. I will definitely come back again while Nika is working to experience her again. She is simply the best!

  We don’t have an East Sides in the town where I’m from so was excited to go and take the kids for their first time. I hadn’t been myself in probably 10 years. Server was super friendly, made a few small mistakes but overall okay. Had to wait 15-20 mins for a second bowl of salad and some bread and it was not that busy. Finally came with the wrong salad so had to wait some more. The salads were always my favourite part of East Sides but they were dry, no flavour and barely any dressing. My beloved Caesar was so bad I had to try the garden next and it was equally dry, boring and no flavour. Came with a huge chunk of the core of the lettuce head as well, which was not edible. The main dishes were all just okay. The worst part for me was the atmosphere. Have a look at the chairs and the booths next time you’re in. Everything is super dirty and needs to be replaced or wiped down with perhaps a fresh coat of paint. The cutlery looked like it was some aluminum stuff that was about 30 years old and one of the side plates at table was so dirty I couldn’t use it. The lighting was super bright and not warm. Felt like eating in a high school cafeteria. Overall the place is run down and not a great atmosphere. As mentioned the staff were all friendly and welcoming. I won’t be going back here ever again or any other east side Mario’s. My wife had been telling me for years that she hates it there now, and I finally had a chance to go while she was away for a weekend. She has been right all along.

  We were there for two hours; a table of four sent all our meals back except one because the food was cold, and they never ended up bringing our other meals out. They just didn’t care. The waitress was good; that’s the only reason the service got three stars, but management just didn’t seem to care. On the way out, another person was sending their food back too, and they had been there for over an hour. This was the worst customer service we have had in a restaurant especially from management.

  I simply wish to acknowledge one of the employees at this location for making my son’s birthday celebration something spectacular. (I paid cash so I don’t have the check handy). On Saturday my wife and two children dined in at your restaurant to celebrate my son’s 6th birthday. Ashley was our waitress and she was beyond accommodating. It was a busy night but we never felt like we were bothersome to Ashley. She refilled our salads promptly and her attention to detail was remarkable. She noticed my wife’s drink was running low and brought a replacement before being asked and she even noticed my son’s birthday pin he was wearing so we didn’t have to tell her it was his birthday! Please take the time to acknowledge Ashley for her prompt and efficient service-and for making my families dining experience one to remember!

  We called three days in advance to book a reservation for our anniversary. When I called to confirm the time on the day of, the restaurant couldn’t find our reservation, so they confirmed a new one for 5:00 PM instead. We arrived at 4:55 PM, but our table still wasn’t ready. A large party of 30+ was just leaving, so we understood there might be a delay. Still, being seated in a cramped corner shoulder-to-shoulder with other guests wasn’t exactly what we had in mind for our anniversary dinner. The first course — Caesar salads — was just okay. I finished mine because I was hungry, but my partner couldn’t eat hers because it included the core of the lettuce, which is tough and tasteless. On top of that, there was barely any dressing. We requested a replacement salad with dressing, but it arrived only about a minute after our main dishes came out, which defeated the purpose. From the time Chance took our order, it took about 22 minutes to receive the first course. Ten minutes later, the mains arrived — along with the replacement salad. The service timing was clearly off, and the dining setup didn’t help. Our table was missing most of the cutlery except the bread knife, which made things feel disorganized. My partner accidentally spilled her Pepsi early on, and the spill on the floor wasn’t cleaned up until our mains arrived. That, plus the overall slow pace, suggested they were short-staffed that night. On a positive note, Chance did a great job under pressure. He wasn’t even scheduled to work, but he stepped in and handled things professionally despite the chaos. His effort was appreciated — he was easily the best part of the service experience. My partner ordered the Chicken Parmesan and a Pepsi; I had the Spaghettini Primavera with Alfredo. The food was decent once it arrived, but the overall dining experience didn’t meet expectations for what was supposed to be a special evening. In short: the food was passable, the service was stretched thin, and the overall experience felt rushed and uncoordinated. Chance deserves credit, but management needs to address staffing and reservation handling if they want guests to feel valued — especially on busy nights.
