- ETErick ThurstonJul 13, 20255.010/10 to DQ Lindsay for an food allergy masterclass yesterday! Incredible level of care and professionalism from the kitchen and front staff. Daughter has egg, milk and nut allergies so takeout food is basically impossible. After carefully reviewing the online nutrition menu, it turns out DQ original hamburgers are safe for our family. Which means that cross contamination from other items is going to be the only risk. I explain all of this to the cashier. She explains it to the kitchen. Person preparing the food immediately washes her hands. After its prepared, she tells a third person who is packing the bags "wash your hands before you pack those, food allergies". We loved this! It's difficult - in a world full of complainers and picky-just-because customers, explaining the extreme levels of diligence and care required for food allergies feels like more whining. DQ handled things so effortlessly we didn't even effect the queue! Super duper appreciate the care and the actual food was delicious. Both kids ate two each! But yes, agree with the other reviews - this place desperately needs an update / overhaul in terms of facilities.
