I don't know why I bother writing reviews for chain restaurants because. We know, the food comes in bags and is heated up, the franchises are cut and paste all around Canada. It is stupid food. East Side Mario's was my favourite restaurant when I was a kid. I loved this location too, for it's homey New York Italian aesthetic and endless garlic bread. Too much has changed. I will never forgive the great Cara/Recipe makeover of 2018 when the company rebranded itself and all its restaurants, sterilizing them in the name of refinement. This place sucks now. There is really no reason to ever go here.

We just left here and the first thing I did when I arrived home was to sit down to write this review.
We were a party of 4 and arrived to a line up. We were told it would be approximately a 30 minute wait but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. So far so good.
Then we met our server, Afton, and our visit got much better. She was pleasant, accommodating, efficient, answered all of many questions with a smile. Nothing was too much to ask. We all agreed that she was one of the best servers we had ever met, and weez old so we know what what weez talking about!
The food was fresh, plentiful, and served hot with a 😃.
It is so true that one person can make or break a night. We were fortunate and are grateful for our experience.
Without a doubt we will be back and we sincerely hope we get to see Afton again!

Had an excellent meal right before a Sens game. Our server Nadim was extremely helpful, polite and friendly which made the dining experience fantastic. The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. I had some questions that the manager was very nice to deal with as well. We will definitely be going back.

We normally go to Bells Corners but today we did Kanata. The salad came in this small see through container and it was filled with rotting lettuce, it was disgusting I wouldn’t feed my dog this, the only thing was good was the hot pepper and onions. It looked like they took the worst of salads and put in ours. My favourite part of East side Mario’s salad but this was truly disgusting. And in Bells Corners they put our salad in one of the red containers not Kanata. I normally eat at East side Mario’s once a week but I will never ever go to Kanata again. For $28.00 I wouldn’t give you $5.00. Whoever made the salad and let that container go out tonight should be fired. If I get sick tonight they will hear from me. Don’t ever get take out in Kanata. I guess they think nobody will complain for take out.
I’m ashamed of them and the staff better get a good talking to because I wouldn’t be surprised if someone didn’t spit in our food or worse.
