Ate here lastnight February 24th around 5pm. By 5:30 am I woke up aggressively sick. I haven’t stopped vomiting and it’s now almost 12pm now.
I almost never get sick. I’ve always joked about how I have an iron stomach.
I should have known when I walked in and all the employees were 17 years old not to eat here. Obviously someone didn’t get the cross contamination memo.
I have also called the public health department.

I recently ordered from Wingstop and unfortunately the food was really disappointing. The wings were not great at all — they were undercooked and had a rubbery texture. The sauces also didn’t taste the same as what I’ve had at other locations in Toronto, which was a letdown because that’s usually what I look forward to.
Overall, the food just wasn’t good this time. Even the ranch tasted off and was much thicker than usual. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the corn, which was fresh and flavorful.
I do want to mention that the service was really nice, and the staff were friendly and polite. I just wish the food had matched the service.
We ordered a family combo and spent over $80. The meal was supposed to include 10 bone-in wings. However, after finishing our food, we realized the quantity was incorrect. As shown from the bones left, we only had 5 drumettes and 3 wing pieces. (Right side I circled is they give us after)
We went to the counter and politely asked about the missing wings. At first, staff were reluctant to help and said we had no proof. We suggested they could simply count the bones we had left. The front counter staff (a female employee) was actually very kind and helped communicate with the kitchen twice, which we appreciated.
However, the kitchen staff’s attitude was disappointing. When he came out, there was no apology. Instead, he asked what we wanted and whether we were asking for two wings. After we confirmed, they finally provided the missing wings. When bringing them over, they told us that next time we should count the wings before eating.
We felt this comment was unreasonable. It’s not normal for customers to count each piece before eating — people usually notice missing items only after finishing. Considering we spent over $80 and didn’t even finish everything, there would be no reason for us to intentionally ask for extra wings.
While the front counter staff was polite and helpful, the kitchen staff’s attitude left a very negative impression. Because of this experience, we unfortunately won’t be returning.
We have been counting down the days for this place to open and based on the line-up, we had high hopes. The atmosphere and location is nice, it’s a bit loud but for the downtown crowd we understand having a DJ.
Unfortunately too much hype, MUCH better wings in the hammer, you can give this one a miss.
We tried the:
Cajun: dry even though supposed to be wet (according to the online menu), nice flavour but not spicy 2/5
Mango habanero: wet, sweet and spicy, probably the nicest of all the ones we tried 3/5
Mild: again supposed to be wet but was dry, zero flavour 0/5
Hawaiian: wet, sweet and sticky, 2/5
Cajun fries: yummy but basic fries, 2/5
Cheese fries: nothing special, 2/5
Sauces, ranch and blue cheese - 1/5
Understanding this is a new Resturant, it's hard to write a negative review.
Wingstop in Canada (operated by a LLC) falls short of the American counterpart. This location will struggle continuously.
We went for lunch today, (the day after the grand opening), and it wasn't busy at all. We waited over 30 minutes for fifteen wings, which is mind boggling considering they have 3 products on the entire menu. The cashier was either hard of hearing or a tad slow, as I had to repeat a single order four times.
They were some of the worst wings I've had (this as wingstop is my favourite boneless spot in the US). Extremely oily, somehow cold, and served with cold fries and a tiny side of ranch (this was a kicker).
2/10 overall. +1 for hiring Canadian workers and having 0 LIMAS active. Hopefully they can turn it around with Limeridge.
