  Ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich after having a conversation with the waiter about how I love fried chicken and I want to know honestly how it compares to other places that do fried chicken right and he made it seem like it’s up there and just as good. Took one bite of the breading to taste the seasoning and there wasn’t much flavor to it, the chicken was over cooked, bun was soaked and wet, and the sandwich just wasn’t very good, think of any fast food restaurant and they do a better fried chicken sandwich than this place. You go to a sit down restaurant because you want food better than fast food and Montanas should be embarrassed to serve that knowing McDonald’s makes better chicken. After the meal the waiter came and saw I took maybe 3 bites of the sandwich and didn’t ask about it or seem to care why I didn’t eat it or offer something else which for $86 for two chicken burger meals and an appetizer… this was my last visit to Montanas or any sister restaurants under the main brands umbrella. What a waste.

  the other day my family had dinner and Spencer was our server. He did an out of world job in terms of service. That is being friendly, making sure drinks were filled and making sure our food was good. When our food came, it was really tasty. I know people look at reviews before they go to eat out (as you should) and if you see this review make sure to come here and specifically ask for Spencer because he is one of the nicest servers I have ever been served by in my entire life. I really hope that this location is giving him the hours that he wants and is treating him well because he is the biggest intangible asset that they have on the books. The amount of goodwill he brings is next level. When you are served by him (I personally encourage you to call and ask to be served by him) it will make you believe in the feeling of awe. Spencer is special and if you want a good experience at this location CALL AND ASK HIM TO BE YOUR SERVER!!!

  My husband and I came here for lunch and I ordered the 7oz steak . The waiter comes back after a short while and says that they don’t have 7oz but would I like 10 oz and I said I’d like that. Anyways the owner (I assume) comes to our table and offers to comp the difference in meal price which was awesome. And the food was great too . Our waitress was great and I was very happy with everything. Thanks again !

  I went to Montana’s for my birthday dinner on Saturday and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The place has seriously gone downhill. Our server began the interaction by venting about being blamed for things that weren’t his fault and how overwhelmed the kitchen was. Not exactly a warm welcome. He didn’t give us any estimated wait time—if he had, we would’ve left right then and there. Several menu items were sold out, and when my partner asked for jalapeños to be added to his brisket burger, we were told no because the kitchen wouldn’t make it right—so we'd be charged for something we wouldn’t even receive. Completely unacceptable. Service was painfully slow. We waited 50 minutes and still hadn’t received our appetizer. Meanwhile, tables around us were complaining they’d been there for over an hour without food. As two people who’ve both worked in busy restaurants, we know there’s no excuse for this. Appetizers should hit the table within 15–20 minutes, max. Frustrated and hungry, we walked out. The kitchen should be ashamed, and management clearly has no control over the operation. What a joke of a restaurant.
