- NNno noFeb 12, 20261.0Yesterday afternoon I picked up an Uber Eats order from this restaurant, scheduled for pickup at 4:31 PM. I arrived at about 4:28 PM, before the scheduled pickup time, and found several in-store customers and one employee preparing orders. While I was waiting, a customer who arrived after me was served before my order. Only after completing that order did the employee start preparing my Uber Eats order, which was not ready until 5:02 PM — more than 30 minutes after I arrived. After the later-arriving customer left, I asked the employee why my order had not been prioritized. He replied that in-store customers always take precedence, delivery drivers are served “after,” and if I did not want to wait, I could cancel. This clearly shows that the delay was caused entirely by the restaurant’s workflow and employee prioritization, not by the delivery driver. Customers use delivery services for speed and convenience, but this handling significantly undermined that experience. This lack of professional workflow management not only disrespects delivery partners but ultimately hurts the end customer who receives delayed food.
