  This has quickly become my go-to morning spot! The ingredients are always incredibly fresh I’m a huge fan of them! the texture is perfectly smooth every time. The staff Tay and Takayla are super friendly and the place is always spotless. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a clean, nutrient-dense pick-me-up

  I’ve been coming to the Sherway location since it’s doors opened, they went through some hiccups at the beginning but as soon as Tay and Takayla started taking care of my orders-life all of a sudden has gotten better. All joking aside they know me by name the moment I enter and always have the order ready well before it’s timeline. It’s nice to go somewhere today in age and have them make you feel like family.

  I love the food here. It’s always good and fresh. I usually get take out and sometimes I eat in. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this location over the years. Something I noticed is that they get busy and don’t “ready” the orders for the Uber app, whether it’s me picking it up or a driver. Not a huge deal. I called today knowing they would be busy on a holiday to kindly ask they make sure they press the ready button so my order gets picked up promptly. I get how it is to work at a restaurant when it’s busy, as I myself have worked in restaurants in the past, but the person who answered the phone straight up cut me off mid sentence in obvious frustration. When I told her that there was really no need to do that, and if she listened to my request I’d make everything clear, but she didn’t apologize but argued instead? Like really? I wasn’t impatient and asking why my order wasn’t ready - I was very clear and also polite with my simple request. Not sure what kind of stress the staff is going through there but for actual restaurant prices the service should be just as good as the food, take out or not. I always tip the staff even if I just pick up a drink to go. Just sucks.

  With experience across all levels of the service industry, I review Toronto businesses through a service lens. Good food brings you in, but service decides if you return. I discovered Fresh a few years ago while on the hunt for a plant-based burger that felt indulgent without the heaviness — the kind of “clean fast food” that satisfies without regret. The Cali burger has been in my regular rotation ever since. Dine-in service is kind, friendly, and reliable. Orders come out correctly and timing is smooth. It is not flashy service, but it is competent and calm, which matters more than people realize. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Sam — gym-enthusiast energy you cannot miss. We ended up chatting about fitness, but what stood out more than the conversation was his timing. He knew exactly when to step in, when to give space, and how to read the moment. That kind of awareness is a quiet skill. Having worked as a server, I know exceptional service does not have to be a grand gesture. It is about reading the table and knowing how to meet people where they are. Sam did that effortlessly, and it made the experience feel easy and genuine. If I may respectfully note an area of opportunity: there is a service disconnect between the dine-in experience and the takeout and smoothie bar experience. The front-of-house service feels more rushed, the team appears less seasoned, and you can feel the difference in the experience. Late-evening phone orders feel unreliable. After 9:00PM, it is unlikely anyone will pick up. On one occasion, I stayed on hold for nearly twenty minutes, then drove over out of curiosity, only to find the team already in closing mode. If phone orders are not supported past a certain time, setting that expectation clearly would create a much better experience. You might be thinking, “It is just Fresh; it is casual dining.” But service standards should not drop with formality. Thoughtfulness and presence travel across every tier of hospitality.
