I had thought to myself that maybe I had made a mistake. (Note: I was taking out my food, I generally only tip when I dine-in at a restaurant or when I’m at a local privately-owned business. It is my opinion that tipping for take-out food in Ontario is a huge scam, workers already get paid minimum wage or more.. but that’s another story. For further background, I’ve worked in the service industry where I relied on tips myself, genuinely -so I’m not Scrooge McDuck about tipping where it is earned and expected). Anyway, I returned today and I see that the same thing is still happening at this location -“no tip” is not an option. Of course, this time I was prepared annd was able to click on “custom tip” and I entered 1c. It is my opinion that this shady practice needs to be called out for the scam that it is.
