Absolutely atrocious. Four of us visited on Tuesday, to take advantage of the buy one, get one quarter chicken dinner deal.
The first issue came, while waiting to be seated. There was no one ahead of us, but it took a few minutes to be greeted, and another minute or so just to be seated. It seems like there was only one waitstaff on, trying to do all of the FoH duties.
When we did get seated, it probably took another five minutes to get our order taken, which, once again, there only seemed to be one waitress on duty, who was also training someone else (who we never saw again for the rest of our stay mind you.).
Personally, my drink was awful. I had ordered the lemonade, and it was flavourless. It honestly just tasted like water that had a tiny bit of lemon squeezed into it, I'd imagine that's what the finger bowls would taste like that you're supposed to get at the end of your meal (we didn't get any, and I know it's still a thing as other Swiss Chalet locations provide them.).
Now, for our meals... We had ordered four Quarter Chicken White dinners. I had requested for mine to be glazed in the Chili Thai sauce, and it wasn't. Furthermore, each and every person's chicken was extremely dry, as if the chicken had been sitting in the warming drawer since the restaurant opened for the day, it really wasn't pleasant.
When our food did get brought to our table, the robot that assists with delivering the food to the table, actually got stuck at our table, and it took a few minutes for someone to come "rescue" it. During this time, it kept blasting "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and kept asking for us to move out of the way every few seconds. Like, we couldn't even have a conversation amongst our group because this robot decided to have a mid shift meltdown.
When it came time to pay, our bill was somehow combined with another tables, so our total was an absurd amount over $100. Now, as I said, it seemed like the poor waitress was doing all the work at the front of the house, and managing a decently busy dining room for the time of day we visited, but thankfully we caught the error before we paid.
Honestly, I would steer away from this Swiss Chalet, and visit a different location. The food quality was miserable, that it turned all of us off from going to a Swiss Chalet for awhile.
