Came in with a large group on a very busy evening and was served by Jevon. He was attentive and checked in to provide updates on our order. Jevon, 5 stars all the way! Hope to be seated in your section again.

Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Communication
My girlfriend and I stopped at this Swiss Chalet after having a great day at Upper Canada Mall. The restaurant looked quite busy inside, so we decided to use the drive-through instead, expecting it to be more efficient.
We waited about 15 minutes just to reach the payment window, which was understandable given how busy it was. Our order came to $44, and we were told it would be “a few minutes.” However, after paying, we waited approximately 25 minutes at the pickup window, only to then be told it would take even longer — with no prior update or explanation.
The main issue wasn’t the wait itself, but the lack of communication. If we had been informed earlier that the kitchen was backed up due to in-restaurant dining, Uber Eats, and Skip the Dishes orders, we could have made an informed decision before paying. Instead, we were left waiting, hungry, and frustrated — especially with a 35-minute drive home ahead of us.
It feels like online delivery orders are now being prioritized over in-person and drive-through customers, and the current system clearly needs to be reevaluated. There should be a clear protocol to manage expectations for customers who physically show up and pay on the spot.
I asked to speak with a manager named Sanka, but no one ever came to the window to address the situation. That was especially disappointing. A simple acknowledgment, explanation, or apology would have gone a long way, but none was offered.
I’ve always enjoyed Swiss Chalet, which is why this experience stood out in a negative way. I value good service, transparency, and basic courtesy toward paying customers. Unfortunately, this visit fell short on all three.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving communication and customer handling during peak times.

Warning- Newmarket, Green Lane location. Had lunch at this location on December 18 with a friend. We ordered 2 1/4 chicken dinners. We arrived at 12:25 PM. Our lunch arrived at 1:35 PM. My friend is borderline diabetic and she was getting the shakes and we asked to see the manager. When he came to our table, he all but called us liars regarding the wait time.
We are absolutely horrified with this experience.
I have never been treated with so much disrespect in a restaurant in all my life. What happened to “The customer is always right”?
One hour and 15 minutes is far too long too long to wait for Swiss chalet. As far as concerned, this manager should be fired and we deserve an apology.
I will never, set foot at this location again.

Been eating at SwissChalet for at least 30 years and I must say the food is nothing like it used to be. Chicken portions have gotten very small and sides are often colder than desired.
Service is good, except we have been there when humans don't even escort the "robot carts" to the table, and you help yourself to your food. The novelty has long worn off. And young people need jobs in this economy. Bring back servers and get rid of those carts

The robots were distracting not cool - fun at the beginning but they took away from the experience and the human touch. It is not a themed restaurant so it is not why we came to eat at Swiss Chalet. It was worse when the staff had to avoid the robots to get to their table and destracting when the robots got stuck
The men's bathroom smelled like it has not been cleaned in weeks - it wasn't dirty but rather dark and smelly
