  Let me set the scene. Just got off a 16 hour shift in a steel mill, wife is pissed i picked up so much over time. I know how I can smooth this over. Date night! I tell her to put on something cute we're gonna go try somewhere we've never been. So we get to The Landing in Burlington. Atmosphere is cool, seems like a good vibe. Only waited about 2 minutes for a table so that was nice. But this is where the problem occured. Nothing hapoened after that. We sat there chatting, looking over the menu. But still nothing happened. No one came to say "hi" or "can I start you with some waters?) No one came. We made eye-contact with at least 3 people who definitely worked there. NO ONE CAME! So after sitting there waiting for almost 40 minutes with our orders ready... because we had so much time with the menu. Figured it was time to get up and leave. Walked out the front door, same nice hostess said have a great night. We are having a nice time in at different restaurant. Where Garret greeted us promptly and is giving immaculate service.

  The place was really chill and we enjoyed the vibe and our waitress at the bar was fantastic but the drinks and food both felt very lacking. The food lacked flavour and any sort of ‘wow factor’ the drinks felt boring. It feels deflating to leave a place with such great potential still hungry and looking for more.

  Had brunch at Jackson’s today and it was absolutely incredible!!! Only been here a few times before and wasn’t aware they had brunch. Will definitely be coming back for this as it was hard to choose what to get because everything sounded so delicious!! I got the smoked salmon Benedict and it was 12/10!! The portion size was great and super tasty! Not only is the food fantastic, but the atmosphere is super cozy and staff is very friendly! Maya was our server and she was super smiley, sweet and personal!! Truly hope I get seated in her section every time. She made the experience that much better.

  The fingerling potatoes were green… my 8oz steak was paper thin, severely over cooked and dry. My husband’s chicken was flavourless and his potatoes were all green. They asked if it was a special occasion, i told them it was my birthday, not even so much as a happy birthday… our server never checked on us after we got our food and when she did finally come back we were beyond saying anything. They noticed we had barely eaten our mains and never asked a question about the quality… the manager visited all tables around us but never came to ours. Terrible birthday experience, and what’s worse, is we just moved here and I was looking for a new regular spot… I guess I’ll keep looking :(

  Came as a group of 8 for a 6:00 pm reservation. Sat for about 10 minutes before a server came to take a drink order. Once the drinks were dropped off we were ready to order but she said she would be right back. We were able to order at 6:55 ( too long of a wait) Once our food arrived 2 of our meals were barely warm ( took them back, nothing better than microwaved shrimp and lobster) and 2 other meals came with no fries ( they came after their burgers were done) our server was not the one who dropped off any of the food and never came to do a table check with all of us wanting more drinks. We flagged down another server to get our server. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Unfortunately the service was terrible and the food took forever and was disappointing. The manager who dropped off the fries never apologized for the wait or the two cold pastas.
