  East Side Mario's in Burlington is conveniently located at the entrance of a large shopping mall, making it a popular spot for families with kids, especially on weekends. Saturdays can get quite busy, but weekdays feel much more relaxed and comfortable. The restaurant has a fun, well-themed Italian-American decor with spacious booths that comfortably accommodate groups of all sizes. They offer a great selection of drinks and chillers, an all-you-can-eat option on Wednesdays, and plenty of kid-friendly menu choices. That said, the food quality was just average. The presentation and taste didn't quite feel like it came from a proper restaurant kitchen. On the positive side, the prices are quite fair compared to other similarly themed and decorated restaurants in Canada. Service was very good overall, and the staff are clearly experienced and patient when serving families with children. The desserts, in particular, were delicious!

  The cuisine was genuinely impressive—flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. Each dish demonstrated care in its preparation and presentation, making for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Service was super quick. Can’t go wrong with all you can eat soup and salad. Especially I loved wedding soup! Now, this is my favorite soup. Hosts were very friendly! My kids love to eat there.

  I recently visited East Side Mario’s and had a mixed experience. The food itself was good — we ordered pizza and pasta, and both tasted great. No complaints on the quality. However, the service really needs improvement. The staff didn’t seem well-informed about their own promotions. For example, there was a starter deal for $9.99, but our server wasn’t aware of it and even mentioned that most people don’t order starters, which was surprising. When we placed our order, we clearly explained all the details for our pizza and pasta. However, after about 15 minutes, the server came back asking again for more details and clarity on the same order, which was frustrating and made the experience feel unorganized. Service overall was slow and inattentive. We had to wait quite a while for basic items like ketchup, and it only arrived when we were almost halfway done with our pizza. The server also mentioned bringing Parmesan cheese for the pasta but never came back with it. Overall, the food is enjoyable, but the service needs significant improvement to match the quality of the menu.

  Where to begin. This is long overdue but nonetheless needs to be said. I called in advance regarding a larger party of 35 arriving after a hockey game . I was immediately dialling with the manager Rahul on how to make this the best experience for our large group and the staff. Rahul requested that I get all orders sent to him in advance so the kitchen time was prepared and not overloaded when we arrived. When we arrived at the restaurant we were all sat in one area. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We were lucky to have both Rachel and Emily take care of our group. They were amazing. They were friendly, prompt, efficient and were successful in executing our dining requests. They were quick to make and minor tweaks in our ordering if the restaurant was without an item. Rahul is an excellent manager. Rachel and Emily are top notch and the supporting staff were very helpful. I recommend this restaurant for large groups and if they can successfully navigate our party of 35 then I have the utmost confidence they can be equally successful with smaller groups.   Melissa was the best waitress I have ever had at East Side Mario’s—from the moment we walked in, she made us feel genuinely welcome with her friendly attitude and positive energy, setting the tone for an amazing experience. She was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at the perfect times and making sure our drinks were never empty. She knew the menu really well and gave great recommendations, and she remembered every detail of our order perfectly, even the small customizations. What really stood out was how calm and kind she stayed even when the restaurant got busy, showing that she truly cared about giving us a great experience rather than just doing her job. She went above and beyond by making conversation, ensuring everything tasted great, and creating a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere at our table. By the end of the meal, it felt like more than just going out to eat—Melissa made the whole night memorable, and I would definitely come back again hoping to have her as our waitress.
