    Lindsey was a very attentive and considerate server! The chef came out and explained the differences in sandwich meat options and was genuinely interested in making sure our meal met expectations!!!!

    Hosted my baby shower at this Pickle Barrel with Aynsley & Shevrin taking care of our party of about 40 people. They were very accommodating and friendly and tried to get our orders to our guests as quickly as possible. I noticed Aynsley really liked to interact with the guests through casual conversation and was good at entertaining the younger guests. Would recommend hosting a small party here, especially if you are in a bit of a pinch or time crunch like I was :)

    We have been to several Pickle Barrel restaurants and this is by far the worst service we have received. The food was not great either. I told the hostess that it was my son’s birthday and she says that she told the server, but the birthday was not acknowledged. The server also forgot to bring my water and brought the wrong salad. When I mentioned to the hostess that the birthday was not acknowledged, she was very dismissive. My son ordered the surf and turf and was very disappointed with how tough the steak was. My main complaint is how dismissive the hostess was. She made no effort to offer any form of compensation the poor service. She didn’t seem to care. We won’t be going back to this particular Pickle Barrel.

    Enjoyed the Wine, Calamari, Salad, and Atmosphere. We went for dinner on a Saturday night. It didn't feel like a loud busy cafeteria which was nice. Was very disappointed with the steak though. The previous time we went a couple months ago the steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. (Which is the reason why we came back) This time no seasoning and they cooked the steak well done even though I asked for it cooked medium. I sent it back and the next one came medium well. The manager tried to disagree with me and claimed that the steak looked medium to her. I KNOW what a medium cooked steak looks like and that was NOT medium. Sent that one back and I gave up at that point and just ordered a completely different dish that would be much harder to mess up. I've noticed other reviews with complaints of steaks being overdone so i'm not the first.

    I want to start by saying that Beatrice and Ethan were fantastic — this review has nothing to do with their effort or service. They went above and beyond, and it really showed how much they care about the customers. I came here with my family for dinner, and unfortunately, the experience overall was disappointing. Ethan was our server and it was clear he was overwhelmed. He had a huge section to manage on his own, yet he did everything he could to make sure everyone was taken care of, get orders out, and keep customers happy. He was kind, humble, and genuinely apologetic when things didn’t go perfectly — even though none of it was his fault. From the very beginning, things felt off. When we were seated, the table in front of us asked the hostess for water and was told, “I’ll let your server know.” This seemed to be the theme for the night, whenever someone asked for help, the answer was always, “I’ll let your server know,” instead of anyone stepping in to assist. You could see the servers were already busy, and it would have been far quicker for staff to just help than pass it along. Beatrice was great and did what she could to support both the customers and the staff. She went to tables to apologize, helped wherever she could, and tried to keep things under control. She showed what real leadership looks like — stepping in where necessary and supporting her team — even though she’s just the floor manager. Meanwhile, the actual general manager spent the night focusing on “big parties” while the rest of the restaurant struggled. Our side was overwhelmed, customers looked disappointed, and he never checked in with his staff to see if they were okay. He didn’t step in to help, didn’t support his team, and didn’t lead by example-exactly what a GM should be doing, especially on a busy night It was a very busy night, and having only four servers for the entire restaurant was clearly not enough. If you’re understaffed, the leadership needs to step up, have a plan, and make sure things run smoothly. The GM should be leading by example. But watching it all unfold was frustrating because it left great staff like Ethan and Beatrice to handle a situation that proper leadership could have prevented. To make matters worse, my mom’s dinner — which was ordered with our drinks because she needs to eat early — was forgotten. We had to cancel it altogether. It’s clear the staff is overworked, understaffed, and not getting the support or leadership they deserve. That’s how you lose great people. Staff like Beatrice and Ethan are the reason people keep coming back, and it’s disappointing to see them put in so much effort without the support of those above them.
