  We came here with a reservation for 30 for a hockey tournament. It was a 2 pm reservation so not really prime time. It took over an hour to get food, the servers forgot many drinks while waiting, some of the food was cold, the servers never cleared the table after we ate. Then the server had the guts to ask all the team to review here and say how good she was! The manager greeted us, made sure we were seated and then clearly left or if he was there, didn’t care about service.

  We went to Kelsey’s in Bowmanville for lunch today. We arrived at 12:05pm. I asked the waitress if there was an option to have the wedge salad on its own. She said absolutely. We ordered a Bud and bud light on draft. After approximately 20mins she came back to advise that they were out of ALL draft beer except Canadian and Belgian Moon. We both ordered a Canadian. We then ordered our lunch. I ordered a wedge salad with out blue cheese. I was able to choose feta instead. My meal arrived 35 minutes later and it came with meat that was beyond burnt and so dry and the core of the lettuce was yellow and brown. Our bill had drinks that we didn’t order and the entire visit was 2 hours and 5 minutes. Highly recommend a large PASS on Kelsey’s Bowmanville.

  March 12th 2026: One of the worst meals I've ever had at a restaurant. Started off when my 7 year old ordered a 7up. I tried a sip and it tasted like the cup had disinfectant or soap in it. Next we ordered the boneless wing bites. They were pure dog meat (I have a picture of them but can't post on here--id gladly sent it to Kelsey's head office if they're like to see it- id also like to challenge a manager at Kelseys to eat them and tell me they aren't disgusting) Not a single boneless white meat bite in the batch of the 1lb batch that we ordered. It was similar to Chinese food from a really bad quality Chinese restaurant. It was like left over scrapes from the week had been breaded and served to us. My other son ordered a cheese pizza. It was disgusting and not even close to edible (I wish I had a picture of it too) cheese was glooped on top and sauce is not meant for a kid. The crust was like eating a stale cracker (not pizza dough). Id like to say the service was a bright spot but it might have been as bad as the food. I ordered a $3.99 diet Pepsi with no fizz and waited for a refill for almost 30 minutes. No one came to refill it. I finally just gave up. Couldn't even complain as no one really served us. Got my bill and decided we'd never come back again. Absolute Embarrassment Kelseys.

  I haven't been to a Kelseys in a very long time, but dropped in for dinner tonight with a friend. What a pleasant surprise it was! We both ordered chicken fingers and raved about how good they were! They are clearly hand-breaded and were perfectly crispy, hot, and so delicious! You'll be hard pressed to find a better chicken finger anywhere! Trust me, I know! Huge shoutout to Samara who served us! She was welcoming, super friendly, and attentive! I won't be waiting nearly as long for my next visit. Thank you to the kitchen and service team for providing such an enjoyable dinner!

  If there were a global championship for hospitality, Brandy at Kelsey’s in Bowmanville wouldn’t just win — she’d retire undefeated and have the trophy renamed after her. I’m convinced she has a sixth sense for refills because my drink never once dipped below the “danger zone.” It was as if she had a hydration radar locked specifically onto my table. The food arrived with such precision you’d think she had a direct line to mission control. Timing? Impeccable. Presentation? Regal. Efficiency? Borderline supernatural. I wouldn’t be shocked if NASA called her for consultation on launch coordination. And during the dinner rush — when lesser mortals might falter — Brandy moved through the restaurant like a hospitality hurricane of grace. Calm. Focused. Unshakable. Plates balanced effortlessly, orders memorized with photographic precision, and every guest treated like the VIP of the evening. Her customer service skills don’t just set the bar — they are the bar. If kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism were currency, Brandy would single-handedly stabilize the global economy. I came for a meal. I left emotionally uplifted, spiritually renewed, and questioning whether I had just experienced the pinnacle of human service evolution. Kelsey’s is lucky to have her. Bowmanville is lucky to have her. Honestly, humanity is lucky to have her.
