This place has consistently gone down hill with their service. Albeit the wait staff are trying their best. The service is disgracefully slow, and often the food comes to the table lukewarm. We love Swiss Chalet so we will be frequenting the one in the south end where the service is much better.

I was very disappointed. The size of my quarter chicken dinner was no bigger than my fist. It took over 45 min for our food for 6 to arrive. The only saving grace was the dumb robot carrying the food to our table.

We've tried many times to give this Swiss Chalet an opportunity to correct itself. (I have enjoyed Swiss Chalet for 40 years), but time and time again THIS restaurant continues to surprise us, but in a disappointing way. Today, was my final àttempt to give this restaurant one last opportunity.
I ordered an appetizer; Chalet Salad with House dressing. (What could go wrong???). I've ordered this for decades.
It came out, looked normal, grabbed my fork and dove in. Put a large mouthful, and almost immediately realized that this was Not House dressing.(It wasn't even dressing).
Within 2 seconds my mouth was quickly roasting. My mouth and throat were burning.
My partner tried it, and said they poured hot sauce on it. I told the waitress what happened, and they realized they accidentally put on hot sauce (same color as Catalina, both were beside each other in the fridge. They apologized. (But no replacement salad).
...& Then charged me for the hot sauce salad I couldn't eat.
... I'm done.

The group event room was large but was cramped with tables of various sizes - the room was dark - although our server was friendly, our service was lacking in efficiency and attentiveness - we were a group of 16 - our group arrived in increments and not all together - the location of the room lacked sight lines for the server to keep tabs on who was coming in causing some confusion and lack of attention - the restaurant was not busy -we arrived at 1:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon - the attention to replenishing drinks and having our food order taken in a timely manner was severely lacking as it was well into the second hour before those two things were taken. Our food took over 45 minutes to arrive - our food was warm when it arrived to our tables - coming from an experienced Hospitality background, it would be suggested that training reviews with regards to attentiveness, time management and providing adequate servers/bus assistants for larger groups be a top directive for improvement in both front and back of the house. At this time, I would not recommend this restaurant for larger group events. The parking lot lacks spacing and was not maintained - as this restaurant has a large target market in our senior population, adequate maintenance should be a priority to ensure safety.
