  Just read this on barrietoday website.. think ill be passing on Mr Sub from now on. "Meanwhile, a Jan. 21 routine inspection at the Mr. Sub location on Mapleview Drive West in Barrie's south end resulted in additional education on proper health and safety protocols. According to the report, the inspector noted one critical and one non-critical infraction during the visit. They included failure to maintain records of pest control measures taken, failure to protect against entry, harbouring and breeding of pests, and improper reheating. During the visit, education was provided and the report was reviewed. A follow-up inspection on Feb. 6 found the issues noted previously had been addressed, however found one new critical infraction related to the handwashing station being used other than for the handwashing of employees. That issue, according to the report, was corrected during the visit. According to the report, the equipment/product was seized and destroyed, education was provided and no immediate action was required by the public health inspector. A ticket was also issued." No thanks .

  The lady working was so kind Gurmeed was above and beyond! Service was amazing she was so kind my two small kids said best subs ever. She was personable and everything was fresh and prepared perfectly

  The bread is not the best but the rest was fine. The girl who worked on the afternoon shift of January 4 2026 was so good. She made my sub exactly how I asked and went above and beyond doing little things that some places wouldn't do because they're terrible at customer service but this girl was kind enough to make the sun exactly how I asked. If she is not the owner and her boss ever reads this, trust me you should give her a raise and promotion. I've been to different sub places (like Subway) and they often will make excuses why they can't make the sub in a way I ask simply because they have to do something small extra (no added cost to them though) but because so many Canadian businesses absolutely suck at customer service (US is way better at customer service than Canada is), I recognize how awesome this girl was when she made sure to do everything I asked of her. She is literally the reason I would come back to this location. She was really nice and courteous and pleasant as well. Most workers at other places are bad at hiding how much they hate working where they're working or hate people, but this girl was genuinely a kind and good human being who likes her job and doesn't have a chip on her shoulder. She was also polite and said hello, thank you, good bye etc. Her boss is lucky she is working there. I would hire her for my business for sure. They should seriously consider giving her a raise. You don't get a lot of good employees these days. She's really good at what she does and knows how to make a great sub.
