  This is now the ONLY Swiss Chalet I will go to. The restaurant is clean and I am OCD. The staff, Kaylin MB and Amanda are phenomenal. I watched as Amanda and cleaned off tables. Not only did she remove everything to wipe the table she also did the benches. Kaylin Is absolutely fantastic with people. Such wonderful customer service so friendly and very helpful. These two ladies are definite asset to your restaurant. Other Swiss chalet restaurants are not near as clean or as friendly. Thank you very much very much enjoyable evening.

  We had dinner at this location tonight and we had dinner there two weeks ago as well. Family of five. All three of my children really enjoyed both meals and have already asked to go back again. All of the staff on both visits were very friendly and helpful. Great service! Great family restaurant. We look forward to our next visit. Thanks to all the staff for creating a great experience.

  The quality of the food is very good, of course it could be much better, and the behavior of the staff is very important, from the greeting to the service and very professional behavior, which of course the management should train them. It is very important that the staff are well-mannered, friendly, and talkative so that this old restaurant becomes better and better day by day. These signs are very important for this brand.

  The past four visits have been terrible with constant long waits for orders that are placed online several hours in advance and am left waiting up to 45 minutes after the pickup time. Management says that they will give you a gift card on your file for x amount and when you go in to redeem they change the amount much lower amount. Not sure if this location has recently changed management but it is not what it used to be. Manager that I have dealt with recently for the gift card and then further changing the amount is Ray. When you are spending as much as a large family’s meals would be it is very disappointing.

  We decided to give Swiss Chalet in Barrhaven another chance, even after a previous bad experience — big mistake. It was around 8 PM when we arrived, and the restaurant was almost empty (no more than 4 tables occupied). There was no one at the entrance to greet us, and we stood there waiting for nearly 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. Two servers walked past us toward the kitchen and completely ignored us. Eventually, one of them shouted from the back that someone would be with us shortly. About 5 minutes later, a server finally came over — no greeting, no “good evening,” just abruptly asked if we were three people. She grabbed menus, walked us in, dropped them on the table, and rushed off without a word. At that point, it was clear the poor customer service hadn’t changed. We didn’t even sit down — we left feeling extremely frustrated. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, staff seemed unfriendly, and the overall experience was just disappointing. Don’t waste your time here. We ended up going to Boston Pizza a few blocks away, where we were treated with courtesy and had a great meal. I would not recommend Swiss Chalet to anyone.
