  I visited a McDonald’s location this morning around 8:25 a.m. and had a couple of concerns about my experience. First, after ordering a medium iced caramel coffee (which was advertised for $1 before 11 a.m.) along with a senior coffee, my total came to $1.94. I handed the cashier $2, but I was not given my change. There was a brief pause where I expected it, but the window closed and I was directed forward. It shouldn’t be assumed that a customer doesn’t want their change—this is a basic courtesy. Second, I was asked to pull into a waiting spot for my iced coffee and waited about seven minutes. When the order was brought out, the employee served the most recently arrived car first instead of the customers who had been waiting longer. This kind of ordering defeats the purpose of the system and can lead to food and drinks sitting too long. These are small but important service details that impact the overall customer experience. I hope this feedback helps improve consistency and attentiveness moving forward.
