- PSPaul SmartMar 17, 20261.0Visiting Tulsa from Australia. We read an online positive article about Five Guys and since it was right across the street from our hotel we decided to give it a try. To be brief, the entire experience was less than enjoyable. The staff were off with the Pixies and barely noticed we arrived. Zero enthusiasm. No other customers were there. The person that took our order looked like he’d just crawled out of bed, dirty uniform and unkempt appearance. The burgers we ordered weren’t prepared the way we wanted them and looked like the ingredients were thrown on them! A few of the tables and the floors were dirty. We paid $22.30 each for a cheeseburger, large fries and medium drink!!! Converted to our Australian currency, $32.00 each!!! We wouldn’t recommend Five Guys to anyone!

I walked up to the counter and the lady asked me my name. I gave it to her and she said OK we’ll get started on that…. what exactly is the point of me ordering ahead if you’re not going to start the order until I arrive?

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
