Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported slow service, especially in the drive-thru, with long wait times and incorrect orders being common issues.
Food Quality
While many customers enjoyed the food, there were complaints about cold meals, incorrect orders, and inconsistent quality.
Staff Attitude
Feedback on staff behavior was mixed; some praised friendly service, while others reported rudeness and lack of attentiveness.
Cleanliness
Several reviews highlighted cleanliness issues within the restaurant, affecting customers' willingness to dine in.
Management Issues

The service was very slow. I ate here twice while in town. Eating just meat, no bun, the burgers seemed fairly dry, over cooked both times. Not the best, not the worst. Works in a pinch.

0/10 waited in line for 35 minutes in the DRIVE THROUGH, also forgot my cinnamon roll and the food i did receive was cold and almost handed out to the wrong car multiple people in the drive through left or got out of their cars to go inside to see what was taking so long. as someone who works in the food industry this is absolutely horrible and nobody should be going to a fast food restaurant that takes as long as a dine in establishment and has the mannerisms of a high school cafeteria with multiple employees making fun of how people ordered their food and how much money people didn’t have i would strongly advise this location to find better management and staffing. unbelievable.
